I remember the draw review for this year and they had one of the easiest. Talk about a false dawn. They’ve beaten nobody. They aren’t on Melb or brisbanes lvl, so I not be winning any silverware. Time for clubs to screw their salary cap with big offers to Mackay and curnow

Can’t understand why the AFL would grant Essendon a Friday night game for their birthday. Should have been Sunday twilight.

Only the AFL could introduce a rolling fixture and actually make the fixture more shit than a set fixture

i was surprised at the greeting for hird...although I must admit that I couldnt stomach most of it. I actually swiched on when heppell was talking to the troops and i was so embarassed for him that I had a look at the cricket for 10 minutes.

Anyway, the hird reception was pretty positive which probably indicates that sheedy has his finger on the pulse in scratching off the old scab and having another go at the essendon thing. Which might spark some interest at AFL house and caroline wilson. I think we might see hird back at the helm in hte near future.

I can guarantee you if we had only won two games all year like Essendon has,we would definitely not be getting two Friday night games in a row.

I just turned off the lions game. Every time there is a contest, the whistle blows and usually dead in front of goal. Footy is becoming unwatchable. It seems physical contests are no longer seen as a part of our game. May the crowds continue to plummet until we get our game back

i just did the same but I thought it was the skill level. It was terrible. I do agree umpires are giving free kicks for violent collisions, though.

Just a terrible spectacle all round. Last night's game not much better either.
Unless you were aligned to either side, was a very hard watch.
