Mattrox, I don't want to criticise the individuals, but I do want the club to be the best it can be by employing the best people possible, not simply by giving jobs to 'insiders'.

They do this when looking for a coach, I would argue that recruiting and trading are also crucial roles, and we should search widely outside the club (as well as allowing internal applicants) and have competitive selection on merit.

This process got us Sando over the 'insider' applicant Bicks (whom we all love.)

I agree but there is no way to tell that Noble is not qualified to do the job or that he is incapable or even what consultants they employ during this time.....

Ultimately we'd all feel a little bit more comfortable if there was any accountability in the way our club is run at all. At times there is seemingly a large disconnect between the club's administration and the membership base of the club.

true, but is he the best qualified and most capable person we could possibly have put into that job? IIRC, he was put into List Management (which he is probably well suited to) and seems to have fallen into having the add on role (poisoned chalice?) of chief trade negotiator.

The point is, there is no open-ness or accountability to members in all these 'insider' appointments.

Yep, he was placed in a very compromising position. I can't wait til the full disclosure the club has promised us.

I started this thread and I certainly now realise how these 2 blokes never had a chance considering the circumstances.
I do stand by we need a more professional list management team that includes a lawyer.. I think that is fair
