He just applied for a job at the weather bureau as the apprentice to the assistant third guesser. They said he was over qualified.I thought Damo said that Houston will get to Carlton. Honestly, what a flog that bloke is. What's his actual ****ing job
Does anyone know why Robertson is keen on the Pies? (other than being a smart guy)
I know he only played a couple of games this year, but surely there would have been clubs who could have made grander promises to him in terms of game time than us?
I'm not against the move if we're bringing him in as depth, but would be a bit concerned if he's been sold the dream of playing seniors every week. I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep if we missed out.

Make a play for Cripps, they're clearly building for after him.The Blues are also taking it well going by this Blues poster:
“An absolute **** up from Austin.
Houston would transform our ball movement from D50.
But these 2 kids we’ll pick up will be great in 2-3 years.
FMD“
Then we needed a targeted strategy that fixed the issues on our list: some more quality in the midfield to support Nick Daicos and some more quality in the key positions where we have Billy and Dean struggling to hold KPDI want a premiership next year.
I understand and agree with what you’re saying but if we missed out on Houston but retained JFN, my overriding feeling would be one of disappointment, not joy.Agree Houston is a gun. But I think you are underestimating the importance of JFN to our game style. And Richards was developing very nicely. Players don't need to be AA calibre to be super important to a team
I loved JFN. His run and dash - always gave 100%I think Noble is pretty good and under rated by many
But the key thing for me is that we can replace him
We do that and we’ll be the first team to poll 138 Brownlow votes in a season.Make a play for Cripps, they're clearly building for after him.
Not sure what industry you work in but I would definitely be consulting my HR department.Have had to listen to a Carlton supporter at work for the last 3 weeks about Houston landing at the blues. He started with this one 3 weeks ago
Him: knock knock
Me: who’s there ?
Him: Dan
Me: Dan who ?
Him: Dan Houston
And smiling with his ***t eating grin.
Today
Me: knock knock
Him: who’s there ?
Me: not
Him: not who ?
Me: not Houston
4th rounder for a salary dump.Make a play for Cripps, they're clearly building for after him.
Nor should they, people need to understand that Houston is worth a top 10 pick every day of the week and the fact he’s contracted makes him even more valued.Port fans aren't happy.
That probably tells you everything you need to know.
and long term?
Perryman can play midfield too. Then we needed a targeted strategy that fixed the issues on our list: some more quality in the midfield to support Nick Daicos and some more quality in the key positions where we have Billy and Dean struggling to hold KPD
I'm sceptical that two half back flankers will address these issues.
We can tell it’s done if there’s no reports of the 3 clubs involved pivoting and doing something crazy. Not sure
Depends on Atikins I guess so
Package picks is ideal but we may need to use one on Dev Robertson36,52,55,58 ( if all the three picks in the 50's drop into the mid to low 40's) do we have enough list spots for all of them ? Or are we better of packaging and moving as high as possible?
It's already done bro. They're all at the after partyWe can tell it’s done if there’s no reports of the 3 clubs involved pivoting and doing something crazy.
If it’s quite on that front there’s no need to panic, it will get done.
Next season we can trade 2 years into the future.Long term we’re fine
Houston is 27 and Perryman on the verge of 26 and both have clean injury histories
Next year we’re nabbing McGuane and will have cap space to go hard for at least 2 25-27 year old RFAs
All while our current youth continue to improve from underneath
I will concede that we will need to address a key back at some stage in the next 2 off seasons for sure
Thats mere impossible to have a healthy list through the whole season. Thats footy isn't it. Injuries happen. Now we just need our medical department to be on point and ensure no mismanagement of players next year. Need this list to be fit and firing for the entirety of the season.
