Would like us to add some speed at half back, Jiath maybe that player in time.

While Houston provides run, he’s a different type to Noble. Taller and relies on his size to break lines instead of pace.
He relies on his kicking to break lines - 60m bullets.

I think Membrey is fine, but I think Pies really need to plug Reef and give him a solid stretch of games to get into rhythm.

When Mihocek plays he usually have a 3 goal game then 2 goal game then have a bad game or two, then he has a great game with 5 goals. But with Reef, he gets one shot (one game) gets a goal or two or zilch then gets yanked and no seniors for 2 months. That really affects his confidence and adjustment.

I think if Reef was given more time, he could be a contributor. The guy is 6'4, wiry strong frame, athletic... he plays timid or out of synch but that is due to the lack of chemistry with seniors and confidence is low.
Agree.

And usually when he gets a game, he is either the starting sub, or the one subbed off. And he still gets a goal.

I think we have a player there, but we need to give him a sustained run at it before we cut him.

What could we get for Lipinski?

I reckon he’ll struggle to get a game next season with Perryman and Houston coming in, Mitchell and DeGoey back and, hopefully, further development of Allan.

Fly loves lipinski for some reason, he isn't going anywhere. Plus we don't have that many wingers with phenomenal endurance.

Ask yourself this. Why, when we had about 23 players available at one point, could he still not get a game.

I don't know if it's his tank, effort, GPS data, or just general game sense, but the coaches clearly think the guy is lacking something very important.

Otherwise the only other explanation for how a player with his physical attributes and age was bypassed by Sullivan, Bytel and Long is that the entire coaching staff are morons...

In addition to Lipinski, all of Josh, IQ, Sidey, Hill, Crisp, McCreery and WHE could play wing. How many do we need?

If everyone is available, I don’t think Lippa is Best 23. Possibly not even Best 25. Then again, likelihood of multiple injuries is high.

Membrey would be a smart pickup, he kicks goals, it's what he does, usually quite accurate. With Checkers body being a bit suspect it makes sense. But does he fit in our best 22? I doubt he'd want to be an AFL backup/VFL player, he's certainly AFL quality and would possibly get a better go elsewhere.

He’s too good to be a backup, if we get him you’d think he plays every game

Sam Edmund this morning asking why Port couldn't hold Houston? If it was Geelong, the Dogs, etc. they're holding him...

Poor Kane ..... losing his mind over the Houston deal

Kane Cornes has called Tuesday night’s mega trade “disastrous” for Port Adelaide.
Departing Port Adelaide star Dan Houston was the key piece in the complex deal that has sent the two-time All-Australian on his way to play for Collingwood in 2025.

The Gold Coast Suns were also part of the deal with the Queensland club letting former No. 2 draft pick Jack Lukosius move to the Power.
“The Dan Houston trade’s gone down … it’s a disastrous deal for Port Adelaide,” Cornes said in a video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“It’s like the scene in Pulp Fiction where he stands up and says, ‘Everybody be cool this is a robbery!’ That’s what’s happened to Port Adelaide here.

“You’ve essentially traded a dual All-Australian who you had on the contract for three years on good money — favourable money for Port Adelaide — for pick 13 and 29. That’s essentially what you’ve done.

“As I said a couple of times on social media, Richards and Atkins and perhaps even the coaches will help Port Adelaide maybe win the SANFL premiership next year, but it’s not going to help Port Adelaide and Ken Hinkley in the AFL.”

Cripper “North offer was inferior”

Cripps and Davies need to get on the same page

Davies already admitted he was never going to North

North could have offered 2 picks inside the Top 10 and he still wouldn't have gone to North. He was never a chance of going to North at any stage

Lol - Poor Gary Lyon on SEN - he needs a big hanky to wipe away his tears.

He's gutted he knows Collingwood will be back in the Top 4 while Melbourne drops further down and then will most likely lose Trac and Oliver in probably 12 months time
