We need to beef up the midfield if we are going to keep up with Carlton and sydney etc next year. not too worried about this year though

The family are absolutely filthy at Melbourne.
Doctor told Trac nothing is broken.
Trac said OK I'll go out and play.
Moore told him he needed to go off.
Trac went in the ambulance and the family, Trac did not hear from anyone at Melbourne as in doctors coaches for 24 hours.
They are beyond filthy.
That would just about break the club if petracca asked for a trade

In our system and at the right price he could be back playing great footy.

Hine (and any assistants who report to him?) are talent spotters for a partic draft
The list manager looks at the 5 year plus picture for salary cap etc
The coaches obviously have input as to which players come to the club
Each club probably does it a bit differently
Spotting talent in the draft not the same as trading in a player - eg drafting DeMattia different issue to getting Bobby Hill
Doubt too many here know exactly how our recruiters, list manager and coaches work together

If there was that level of incompetence, the AFL may prefer a word behind the scenes than expose what is their system overall as much as the club's on game day
I don’t think the AFL would ever want to go down that rabbit hole and hence make it virtually impossible to employ doctors in this capacity for fear of destroying their real careers.
It was pretty obvious even to the uninitiated that petracca should not have gone back out onto the ground. And entirely plausible that his family is pretty pissed off.
Surely there would be something in a contract stating complete miss management of injuries or something would be a get out of jail card for him
Would look better in a pies jersey than red nut

Yeah I'm sure AFL want a 30 minute special on incompetent doctors with all the current drama around concussions and club medical staff being highlighted this season.

Caro hate her or love her clearly knows something.
She's been itching at the bit, throwing little hints on Footy Classified about Trac and the injury.
Watching Teakle last week made me wince. He is just what we need at the moment. He looked far tougher in the contest than some watchers on this forum had implied.
He looked very handy in the ruck although he was pitted against Krueger most of the time, he rag dolled him and drove it forward almost at will.
Ned Long had better show something at some stage to make me feel we didn't blow it. Smith is too far away from a senior debut to have any impact for 2 or 3 years but I do like the look of him.
But our needs in the big man department are for the present. I wonder why we were so interested in Teakle for so long. Even before the preseason Hind had said we had been keen on him.

Yes forget Smith, huge risk to take after his injury given his playing style. Chase Trac instead. Sign LDU next off season. Draft McGuane. We might never lose a game again.
