The talk is that we need to get into the draft.
Well…. Gawn has signed for 2 more years. The Dees REALLY need a back up for him as well as an extra large forward target.
MASON COX.
He will serve the purpose for Gawn’s final 2 years. The Dees have 2 more years to press for the flag with Gawn (the best ruckman since Dean Cox) remains. Cox also offers support for Van Rooyen and Turner as they physically mature.
It doesn’t hurt us. We can play Frampton, Kreuger, Smit (most importantly) or Steene.
Surely we can push for a second rounder from Melbourne (pick 25-30)?

I know this will also get slapped down… but I’m pimping Schulz for a second rounder and keeping Richards (if I can)…
However, if that kid has been offered 4 years, then he is financially incumbent to take it. Hopefully a market is created for him and he draws another 2nd rounder…
So, Cox + Richards= 2 x 2nd rounders… that gives us 3x picks (25-40).
If we delist McInness, I will lose it.
Anything less than a 2nd year, we keep him for another 2 years and teach him properly.
Markov… bye-bye.
Begg… see ya.
Bytel… it may be tough?
Ditto, Sullivan.
Johnno… pay him out (God, that is a knife through my heart…)

Lol seriously cmon.

Are you sure on this. An Adelaide recruiter told me that he has an elite combination of pace and endurance? Are you sure he's not a bit like Langers who appeared slow because he didn't run when he had the footy but closed space at real speed?

I'm fairly sure. I remember looking into it when he was drafted. He smashed the 2k trime trial which points to the elite endurance, but I'm almost positive he ran a +3 second twenty metre sprint.
But just watching him I often see him trailing a foward trying to keep up, and i actually think a lot of the reason why he plays it safe on offense, chipping it sideways and not breaking the lines as much is because he doesn't have the confidence in his acceleration.
Again, it's not big deal and he may be a bit more deceptive then I'm seeing, I just disagreed with his pace being a noteworthy feature of his game.

Ed Allan was terrific on Friday night and has huge upside, plus a 194cm midfielder, who l would loathe to lose.
If the Suns however said we are interested in Allan, so you trade us Allan, pick 33 and a future first for picks 10, 20 and Lukosius. Anyone doing that?

No. We've finally got ourselves a young talent we've spent time in developing. Why give him to someone else?

And all that for Lukosious?

I mentioned this. Medical negligence.
I'm no lawyer but I'd think this has legs.

Well the club doctor did give the green light to send him back out on the ground with a four broken ribs, a minor lung puncture and, more seriously, a lacerated spleen. Blind freddy could see he was cooked on the night when it happened and especially when they sent him out after the quarter time break.

why would they want another mid? They have flanders. Rowell, Anderson. Graham. Add in Touk. Davies, fiorini. Lombard coming in.

The fact our boys wouldn't tackle him is telling

You’re clearly not a doctor.

Medical negligence is very difficult to prove legally. Very difficult.

It certainly isn’t making a call on limited information.

Negligence would involve something like having a scan in the rooms that showed internal damage and bleeding, yet letting him go out there. Even then, it would not be clear cut.
Thanks for the info. The more I think about it, if Trac is looking for grounds to break his contract (and that is a big if) i wouldn’t think medical negligence would do it even if that occurred and he proved it, unless he could prove the club was negligent in hiring the doctor or doctors that provided the care.

I would think if he’s going to go down that track (again big if) he’d be looking for the club breaching his contract through the medical care he was provided either through a specific clause in the contract or a more general beach in duty of care.

True, but Davies l think clubs will look to try and get out of the Suns, and l hope we're one and Fiorini would be 50/50 to be there next season. Lombard is another gun though coming in next year.

And why do you think clubs would be trying to prize Davies out? Because they have a lot of talented mids. And not enough spots in the midfield.
Unless it was a neale type experienced mid, they dont need anymore.

It wasn't only for Lukosius, its was also to obtain2 picks in the top 20 of this years draft, which could be handy in obtaining a free agent or just using in a very good draft....

How would any alleged lack of knowledge about medical negligence law prove that he isn't a doctor? Not everyone is like Sideswipe. Not everyone has comprehensive expertise in every field of human endeavour.
Because they get trained and are educated. I’ll leave it there.
