Has anyone checked if Josh’s partner has any kind of talent, might need to trade her out for a 6 ft + highly athletic net baller with great endurance, explosive pace, great hands and elite ball skills. I think the next generation should have at a minimum 4 Daicos offspring, would love an elite key position Daicos in the coming years.

Does Nick & Josh's Mum have a sporting background? Not a necessary prerequisite.

would one of our experts please tell me why mcstay wouldnt be moved to the long-term injury list.....as he is going to miss the full season. My only answer is that they are hoping for a possibility of returning for finals....but i dont know much in these areas

I can only guess that it's because they see no need to. They can leave it until as late as the mid-year draft if they want to get a replacement then, maybe they want to keep the SSP candidates guessing!

At a guess, they only intend to take 3 SSP selections, so no need to open up the extra list spot yet. Once they get closer to the mid season draft they can make a judgement call based on available players that we could draft and McStays rehab progress. He’ll be nearly 7 months in to his recovery by then, so the club would have a pretty good idea on whether or not he’s a chance to return or not in 2024.

and Where our Pick Stands in the Mid Season Draft as well

Yes, that’s what I meant when I said when I said we’d base a decision on players we could draft. The implication was that we’d have an idea on who would be available to us around our pick.

No nonsense from me at all.
Shultz also scored plenty of goals whilst chasing, tackling and marking.
Ginni is not in the same stratosphere as him and never will be.
Ginnivan had the benefit of playing in teams that performed at a higher level than what Schultz did.
Shultz had to work much harder to make the most of less opportunities.
When considering that aspect, it makes Schultz’ stats seem all the more impressive when compared to Ginnivan.
I recall I read somewhere that Schultz kicked the most goals of any Docker over the last three seasons. It’s exciting to know the leading goal kicker from another club is being injected into our forward line.

Is it most likely we will give 2 players contracts by Feb 19?
Probably Eyre is 1 and possibly the other for Bytel or Sullivan ?
well who knows. I tend to be the type that waits and sees what the club does. I think the main question is whether finn delivers and whether johnson is consistent.

Agree with you on Johnson's progress being really significant in terms of next year, but would put Finn in a larger group: Finn, Reef, Harrison, Allan,Ryan, Dean in terms of blokes who may get chances and may deliver.

Just saw a picture of Tim English on the afl website. The guy has an abnormally long head and neck. Looks like he is 163 cm to the shoulders only. Must have really long arms

Evidently he was average sized midfielder at 16 but then he was injected with growth hormone in various locations...

The club has to find out about finn as in last year of contract.... the same for reef to a certain extent. Allan will probably get a couple of games...maybe too with harrison. Ryan has 2 more years on contract so a few more games but he'll be out for finals. Dean will be happy to get a game or two. Both will need an injury to slot in or probs with murphy.

A couple of games for finn wont say much about his ability to play - and will probably have him asking for a trade. I have a feeling that the club has said that it will give him a good go at it. The situation for johnson is more about whether he can be consistent as he'll probably be in the side from the start....so that probably sets the limit for any likely changes....even for reef unless someone goes down.

Over the years, I remember looking at round 1 teams to find that usually only one or two players included...I dont see that changing. So probably finn in for adams and johnson in for frampton.

A lot of kids improve quickly. Some don't. **** knows who kicks on next year and makes themselves a regular, but one or two probably will. However, it won't be decided by current contract length. Any correlation with contract length is more likely to be the other way round to what you're suggesting- eg. Ryan and Allan got extended to 4 years because the club rates their potential. Thus they may be more likely to get chances than those coming out of contract.

i just dont think they will let finn go without giving him a decent try.... he might get a few games and he might look like will kelly and they'll toss him back in the vfl and go to plan b....but I think they want an answer to the question about whether he's viable long term before they go to the next options. I could be wrong. They might go to ed allan and finn might waste away in the vfl all year and i would think he'd ask for a trade...

Given we have three train on inside mids atm I don’t think the club is a big on Finn as the talk suggests.
