I'm just not sure he's as bad as some say, especially when you consider what we haveI suppose we need some new names in the whipping boy thread
They been a destination club this yearThey do have plenty of cash.
This is from a Chris Davies perspective. Surely he comes to the pies and brings them all with him.Update from Port perspective:
Giant picks new home, Port 'not front of the queue' for Perryman
Greater Western Sydney free agent Isaac Cumming has made a decision on his futurewww.afl.com.au
We don't have high picks available. So trading in players makes more sense. Is anyone else concerned about fly’s philosophy of players not picks. I heard him say this and was concerned about us giving up potential stars for second hand players. We don’t get players like Danger and Cameron coming to us and clubs screw us anyway.
I honestly hate the thought of trading out 1st picks for people like Shultz.
Very TrueAll the boxes are starting to be ticked for Perryman to join us, just need the offical announcement early next week. Nice to finally see some progress being made after being linked with half of the AFL during the past month.
Hawthorn out of the race. Been confirmed by multiple reports. Unsure why that was included in the article. He mentioned Hawks
Hardly seen him since early days at GWS which I can’t really remember. I felt Bruzzy looked a bit banged up last year and would like some depth with some of Maynard’s traits, physicality, marking ability etc. We seem pretty well stocked for small defenders and Ryan seems more like a Markov type. Wouldn’t mind another solid body down back but not sure if Tomlinson has the pace or ability to play slightly smaller like Bruzzy can.Tomlinson does the job. I've seen worse.

Yeah, he was never leaving.About a month ago I floated the idea of targeting Charlie Ballard for our Key Defensive needs. Now I see he’s signed a 4 year extension.

Who have they got? Barass & Battle. They been a destination club this year
Quite serviceable, thanks for posting. Think I’ll look at some footage and see who he’s matched up on recently. Was keen when he left GWS from memory but hesitant for some reason at present.Check tomlinson stats round 24 against us.
Understandable but I just think he's an upgrade with what we have waiting in the wingsQuite serviceable, thanks for posting. Think I’ll look at some footage and see who he’s matched up on recently. Was keen when he left GWS from memory but hesitant for some reason at present.
We have had a fair amount of first round picks who have not don't much at all. I'm not a huge fan of future first but have no problem with Shultz. Unless he gets injured he's pretty much a lock for 100+ games at a good AFL standard. I think he's philosophy is not about that though. It's about whether you want a 2nd or 3rd round pick or a Bobby Hill or a Lipinski or a Darcy Cameron, Tom Mitchell etc. It's more and more common for teams to poach young players who played a year or two.Is anyone else concerned about fly’s philosophy of players not picks. I heard him say this and was concerned about us giving up potential stars for second hand players. We don’t get players like Danger and Cameron coming to us and clubs screw us anyway.

I see this posted a lot but think he would need to do serious work on his ball handling in close. He can fumble a fair amount however using his pace to run away is elite. If we do keep Richard’s I can see and hope we rotate Beau McCreery more throughout the midfield. His tackle presence would be similar to Rowbottom whilst having more speed burst at stoppages. Also would like Bobby Hill to rotate in the midfield a bit like Kysaiah Pickett does for the Dees.
This giving us a totally different look at centre bounce and stoppages if you include extra time for Allen.
