Didnt they put Goldsack on their senior list to essentially play SANFL? I can't help but feel their SANFL aspirations sometimes get in the way of their AFL list. I assume the rules in SANFL are somewhat different to VFL.

Yeah it was. Rookie base wage doesn't count within salary cap and he was a player so that's the cap his wage was attributed to.

Finn would probably be delisted if not contracted. He’s worth a punt for another club as he’s not a write off but his trade value will be very much token. More like a future 3rd or 4th or just a minor swap switch to move up a few places in this years draft.

Membrey is a hard one to value but as a delisted player we could possibly snap him for free, assuming no other club puts in a good offer for him

one First is coming back to Freo, and its an upgrade on one of the firsts going out, plus a 3rd
still a lot for a player who is hot and cold

The Tiges must be paying some of the wage for Bolton, Baker and Rioli - these trades just don't make sense if they aren't covering some of the salary cap.

Nah, fin isn't better than Membrey, not in the same league. We'll probably give them one of our picks in the 50s to add to their offer for senior Macrae and we get Membrey

im assuming Richmond will send GC all their late junk picks in the Rioli trade 51,61,70 and 76 to pay for Lombard
maybe worth asking GC to swap our picks 52 + 55 for their 41. still a point upgrade for them, and may get us into the low 30's with our first pick

get a late pick for Krueger and see if we can unload fin as well. Replacing them with young players/dfa should give us some salary cap flexibility .
Wait until draft night and then see how many picks before ours gets gobbled up in the the f/s and academy bidding.
Hopefully by the middle of the first round we start to get a clear picture of where our first pick starts and what players on our draft board are slipping through.
If 2/3 picks are in the mid 40's, we should begin discussion with WC,Richmond,North about their top of the second round picks or target teams just below them for their second round picks.

Package all our picks to move up as high as possible on the draft order and hopefully draft a KPD (Matt Whitlock)
