Clearly Carroll is no superstar but his highlights are far better than those of a certain first round pick of ours who’s about to enter his fifth season. As midfield depth I would pick Carroll over Fin every day of the week.

Is it Finn? It’s Finn, isn’t it…

They have showed nearly identical amounts and were taken in the same draft!

I reckon everyone can see the talent in Allan, it's time to show it consistently in the AFL. I'm not seeing star factor until he actually produces it and is keeping other players out. He'll be into his third year next year so time is running out. I'm not saying he won't be a star but it's up to him

I concur with this.. I also don’t fully buy into the narrative that his last game against Melbourne can’t be considered because it ‘lacked pressure’ or was at ‘Pre-season’ levels.

It was still a game of AFL football and it was a an excellent performance regardless. We should all take confidence in that alone.

You’re being a bit harsh on Nick, it’s only his fourth season coming up.

His kicking alone was perfect.
At least 3 or more assists.

To my eye, Carroll is the much more composed and impactful player. I have little doubt another team with take a punt on him.

Fin couldn’t even get a spot in our side when we were on our knees with about 15 players on the injury list. Our coaches have shown that they have no faith in him, despite public utterances to the contrary. If he wasn’t contracted, he’d have been delisted and hoping for VFL contract somewhere, like his doppelgänger, Cal Brown.

To your eye, meaning as suggested by the misleadingly crafted highlights reel? Shocker! They are both duds

I'm assuming he will be playing the noble role, except with less pace but in that rebounding defender role.
Which I think they basically said would be the case.
He also said (on sen) Fly had spoken to him about other roles, like midfield 🤤 which he said he was more than open to, he knows Fly likes players to be able to play other positions..but also said HB is his preferred & best position.

Yeah which I expect HB to be his main role. You want players to play where they play best in the end

I think that’s unfair to Cal who at least at one point in his career was a best 22 player in a side that made the finals. Fin is closer to Tyler who ironically did get a short run elsewhere after we delisted him.

We dont have the list spots for more than 1 DFA + 3 kids in the draft

That doesn't sound right to me

Murphy, Begg, Carmichael, Bytel, Kreuger, Eyre, Noble, Richards?

We've taken on Perryman, Houston, Membrey, 3 draftees (assuming we use them all) and then one more no?

Some are rookies. We only have so many senior spots. DFA go onto main list, along with draftees. Johnson and macrae’s senior spots are the issue. If we had our time again they wouldn’t have got two year extensions

Carmichael and Begg were replaced by Smit and Long on the rookie list
Only 4 of the above list were seniors
