Nice! I actually live in Dallas, but no-one knows where that is, just go with Broady instead. Went to Holy Child.
My father in law lives in the same street Eddie grew up in. I saw Eddie going to his parent's place one day, I really wanted to say hello, but thought better of it, privacy and all that.

I went to Dallas Primary School back in the 60’s. It was a newly established area and a lot of the area was still undeveloped paddocks.

Outstanding content on the last few pages in the Trade and FA thread.

Someone used to take the V/Line train from some woop woop place to Melbourne and someone else's dad has planted a tree somewhere in that region back in the day.
The only other possible way I'd be able to acquire these amazing insights if I attended some kindagarden show and tell sessions.
So my sincere gratitude guys.

If you want it deleted I'll add to the conversation. Within 24 hours there will be missing posts.

Yeah I used to say Broady too, because not everyone knew of coolaroo. Dallas when we used to do our shopping (also where I was a rebel when I was 12 and did a bit of shoplifting in what was then called, Franklins, unless mum caught us). There used to be a swimming pool up that way.
I used to do my athletics in Dallas.

I knew we had a Brooklyn. Didn’t realise we also had a Dallas.

Is “athletics” code for fleeing a crime scene?

Good mate of mine taught in Broadmeadows area for years - needed to be careful when "correcting" some students....

Otherwise lots of their "cousins" would arrive at the school fairly quickly and not too fussed about signing in at reception.

Lamb souvlakis at Stalactites in the CBD.
Mmmmmm cnr Lonsdale and Russell Street.
With tzatziki and chips.
Being open super late made it a winner on Fri and Sat nights.

Plus their garlic sauce was garlic with a bit of yoghurt - unlike most where it's yoghurt with a bit of garlic

A late night souva used to help ward off an impending hangover - is that still the case?

Late night souva was the miracle cure as long as it had the real potent garlic sauce. All the garlic seemed to act like a magic ingredient binding to all the alcohol and then exuding it as sweat.

I went out with a hot Greek guy once who loved licking the souvabooze sweat off me because he said I tasted like yaya's cooking

Far out my wife has never done that when Ive come home pissed and sweaty. Women don’t know what they are missing out on at times

Getting close to too much information but thanks anyway

im telling you, the benefits of going out with a guy are massive.

for example, after a good long sesh on the biz you are actually encouraged to grab some beers and turn on the footy. none of this cuddling and expressing deep emotions unless its about the scumps being cheats.

I've met a few people who've reminded me of my grandma, but I didn't get an urge to lick them.
