As it stands. I don't see us winning many if any more games this year. Now with Ricky out our forward line is going to struggle to kick a winning score. Yeah Brad is up and about but even if he kicks 5 a game we will need alot more output from the midfield and guys like Bennel.

I still think we will play good football most weeks but winning is going to be tough.

I think that's a bit extreme, while Petterd has been exceptional with Cale Morton coming back to the Melbourne side in the coming weeks I think we could see Cale floating forward very regularly.

As we've seen from Cale he is capable of kicking goals.

Ricky's injury just means we have to adjust and it will be a good learning curve for the players that you can't just rely on the same people week in and week out.

hmmm....i dont see us beating WCE at the G next week.

Not sure if serious, but.... I am worried. At least our backs are decent maybe we can hold other sides to a low score.

If we win only one more game this year please let it be West Coast or Essendon!

I'm hoping for at least 4 more wins. I'm sure the boys can pull up some courage from somewhere and show it to some of the mid range teams.

If we win only one more game this year then we are in massive trouble, Petterd's injury will hurt no doubt but it in no way, shape or form renders us unable to win any more games this season.

That is ridiculous.

The following games Demons are capable of winning are:

West Coast (MCG)
Hawks (MCG)
Carlton (MCG)
Essendon (MCG)
Kangaroos (MCG)
Port Adelaide (Darwin) - 50/50 chance
Collingwood (MCG) - Maybe if play as well as round 2.
Sydney (MCG)
Richmond (MCG)
Adelaide (AAMI) - Maybe depending on how woeful the crows are. But doubt it.

The following games are tough to win are:
Fremantle (Subiaco)
Brisbane (Gabba)
Port Adelaide (AAMI)
St Kilda (Etihad)
Geelong (S Stadium)

If all or most of the above capable games are won, the club is doing well and maybe could sneak in the final 8 :)

Wow, you're being ****ing negative.

Bandwagoner stuff. One loss, and all of a sudden we're expecting to get thumped again. If we keep this up we will get absolutely owned. And that fifth post is a disgrace

Does anyone give us a chance this week?

Yes, that'd be me. This has been our best start to a season in about 4-5 years. I'm expecting to win this week, our list can only get better. Even if we lose, badly, I'd still expect us to come 10-7.

Hmmm a bit extreme to say we wont win many if any games! I think we will beat west coast, Essendon, Hawthorn if we play them again and adelaide if we play them again. We are also capable of beating carlton or even freo in melb

We only play Freo once at Subiaco - Cant see this one a win :(

Crows - Maybe depending how woeful they are. I doubt it because it is at AAMI (The club's least favourite ground) :(

V. tought to beat Sydney, Carlton and Collingwood I reckon, but otherwise I think that's about right. Of course, if we can play like we played against the Lions, we can knock off just about anyone

LOL wow you guys are sure getting your backs up. It's just a discussion chill the **** out. Let me guess you guys are the ones who believed we would thrash the Roos by 50 points?

I make a post about my outlook, not trying to be negative.

How many goals did ricky kick in our 3 wins anyone? 4....... wow do you think that we can kick a similar score without 1.3 goals per game? yes rickky was a great target and he was the main man but he wasnt kicking bags by any means...... have some faith this post is WEAK just like the OP.

Can we win this weekend yes, can we get flogged yes. The dogs will let us play our game because thats their game too, it will be run and carry it will be fast and thats what our forward line wants.jeez

**** me, no probs let me go to the main board and post about how we are gonna finish top 8 and thrash every team that is put in front of us. Cool?? Is that not being negative?

No Ricky wasn't the Reewodlt of teh Dees, my point is our forward line stocks were minimal before the injuries. Now it's gonna be very difficult to win.

Mate god love him, but at the start of the year Ricky was a fringe best 22 player.

Life will go on, we potentially get Morton back this week, in another 8 weeks Jurrah will be back and Watts is the real x factor this year.

We're very little worse off after this news. Slightly disappointing, considering he's a key player going forward, but it'll have little impact on our prospects for this year.

Sorry Wow if i was getting a bit caught up, its just hard when you hear a fellow supporter suggest that we "possibly" wont win another game for the year after round 6. especially when we played like we did over the previous month.
I understand your argument and we will lack i bit with out ricky up front but its not the type of talk the club wants when we have such a buzz about us.

Here's hoping Jurrah strolls back into form when fit.

I feel we have a good chance to win:

West Coast (MCG)
Hawks (MCG)
Carlton (MCG)
Essendon (MCG)
Kangaroos (MCG)
Port Adelaide (Darwin) - Prefer we had played them at the G - they have only beaten us once there ever from memory (2007).
Richmond (MCG)
Adelaide (AAMI) -

Possible chance though unlikely:
Sydney (MCG) -
Collingwood (MCG) -

Very unlikely (though no more so than we thought about beating the Lions in round 5):

Fremantle (Subiaco) <--- Have we ever travelled well.
Brisbane (Gabba) <--- I think they will want some payback.
Port Adelaide (AAMI) <--- Our most hated ground.
St Kilda (Etihad) <--- Hate this ground.
Geelong (S Stadium) <--- When was the last time we played the Cats only once for the year and it was at the G ?

A lot of this depends on many factors. Do we get some of our injured guys back (Jurrah, Wona, Morton and when). Do they come back with any sort of form/fitness? Do the young guys start to tire mid year as happens to most. Does Watts get a game and have an impact.

I was really looking forward to the 2010 season then we had a shocking NAB/Challenger cup series. Then round 1 rang the same doom and gloom bells as 2007-2009. Suprise suprise - an honorable loss to the Pies that actually was full of merit. Then the 3 win with the biggie in round 5. Then a reality check against the Roos who were the better team on the day.

All in all I have already taken more heart out of this year than the last 3 years combined. We have a game plan (now for a backup plan when plan A fails like against the Roos), we play an exciting brand of football to watch, we have talent coming through the ranks out the wazzoo. We have Jimmy at the helm (get well soon big guy) so the off field is looking up as well.

No more wins for the year is a bit hard I think. Finals this year with the injuries we have is a bit hard as well.

If we won 4 of the 7 I have us as good chance to win, 1 of the unlikely, and maybe an upset in 1 of the very unlikely that would give us 9 wins (almost as much in 1 season as the 3 previous) and a probable 10-12th position. Nice step in the right direction considering where we were coming from. Another bonus is if we fight out the losing games and avoid too many beltings.

Improve by as much again next year (extra 5 wins) and we are 14 wins and a solid top 8 finals prospect.
