Personally thought it would be Scharenberg over Aish with the tall forward line of the giants!
Fair risk bringing in two blokeswho haven’t played for 2 months but I’ll trust the coaching staff know what they are doing.

Aish is a great in.

Just wonder if I can get used to Phil Davis and Haynes rebounding off Reid as he is one of the slowest forwards in the comp. Sorry, but he's kind of cooked. Big gamble, but hope it pays off and I'm wrong.

As long as the midfield doesn't resort to kicking it long to Reid 99% of the time and instead use all available options, it should be fine. Hopefully a decoy for Elliot and Stepho to get off the chain and Reid can get one or two in his 150th.

That would Happen to any player IF they kicked to every time

Look, I’m not thrilled about either player we’ve brought in, especially Reid, but I guess it’s better than swinging Roughy forward and bring in Madgen.

Yeah I’m getting excited now, bring it on. I’d bring Trav in any day of the week but I’m a huge fan but still liking the ins. Risky, nervy maybe even edgy but **** me let’s get in done.
They had a shitload of injuries last time we played them as well and the we were smashed in the middle by Zaccy and their other ‘makeshift’ mids. Lessons learnt hopefully.

I know our injury record isn't awesome but we probably don't need 7 defenders to cover 3 of their players.

Good balance, he's replacing Greenwood.

The '7th defender' refers to the defender who starts bench.... others here will know what I mean.

The other week the Cats had several dangerous smalls in Ablett, Miers, Rohan, Dalhaus.. so a smaller defender in Greenwood over Scharenberg made sense.

However the Giants have no small forwards of note with 50% of their goals this year coming from the tall trio of Cameron, Finlayson and Himmelberg... so Scharenberg over Aish as the extra defender makes more sense this week

Geez Varcoe is stiff. Nobel should buy a lotto ticket.
Noble has been very good.
Varcoe is stiff though, but Noble is not keeping him out.

Besides Jordan De Goey our 22 seems pretty much selected now.

Should we progress and Jordan is ready then looks only one player will miss.

The classic four emergencies seem ready for another spell next week on the unlucky list of extras.
Ofcourse if Jordan comes in the unlucky dropped player will push onto the emergency list.
