News PAFC to march to Adelaide Oval

It seems there will be a gathering at the mall and a walk to the Oval for every home game. Not really a march in the traditional sense although there'll probably be a fair bit of hooplah for the first game.

Will you be knee deep in the hooplah you old Zombie you?

Each to their own. One of the things about AO I'm most looking forward to is spending some time in the city pre-game and walking down to the ground casually at my own pace.
A little too regimented for my tastes but whatever floats your boat.

Apart from anything else I'll be at Adelaide Oval in round 2 by literally the moment the gates open, so I have plenty of time to check stuff out.

We also need to give ourselves a little extra time to allow for the gates being clogged with elderly crows supporters brandishing season tickets on lanyards believing their crows membership will get them into the game.

That would actually be hilarious.

Oh I plan on being there to take photos of that.

You know it.

I'm fully expecting the apricot slice army to be singing at the gates airport style.

I loved while I was walking across the bridge to the MCG to watch the boys play our first final in several years, there were people with trumpets playing the PAFC song. Brought a tear to my eye.

Bloody ditto...

I think everyone that is going will be there early as well.

I can picture a kaleidescope of Port and Crow's colours everywhere at 10am stoking up the portable BBQ's, coffee vans everywhere and maybe the pie floater van, which I think needs to be brought back from the home of the pie floater.

Cant wait!! Bring it ^&%$ing on

I can picture Dingle leading this charge to Adelaide Oval.... KT is the one and only....

As long as we don't have to wear face paint like the Baseball Furies, I'm in.

March to line up at the gate, can't see it taking off

Unlike at aami, I think at Adelaide Oval entry will happen a lot smoother and efficiently. I do believe that was one of the aspects they took into consideration when designing the new stands. Time will tell I guess.

I'd like to do a week-long march from Adelaide to Melbourne.

It'll take longer then a week as with all the piss head Port supporters it'll turn into the worlds longest pub crawl.

The limiting factor in stadium queues isn't so much the design and crowd control a lot of the time, it's the high proportion of goddamn numpties who somehow manage to take forever to scan a bloody barcode despite the years of practice they've had.

If people want to do the march it is entirely up to them, they aren't my cup of tea but hey everyone has their own way of celebrating the return of the Port Adelaide Football Club to Adelaide Oval.
