I’ve literally said IN MY POST that essentially they ‘just happened’ to set the new allowance for how much the arm could straighten to align with what would allow Murali’s action to be legal, implying that they set their new limit in order to keep him under their parameters.

Aside from Ramnaresh Sarwan- who I addressed right from the start, who was a part timer, who had a test bowling average in the 50s.
So yeah, for the purpose to the argument, it may as well have been literally everyone because we are discussing specialist bowlers.
No need to get your knickers in a twist because someone isn’t in some far flung corner of the internet praising an Australian who may or may not have just taken 3-67 in a domestic carnival somewhere.

For most of this team sensible won’t get the job chasing 300 or thereabouts.
Root yes. The others probably not.
200 I could see them chasing if they batted ‘normally’ as a normal side would in 50-70 overs but I don’t see them having the skill to negotiate 90+ overs on a spinning wicket against a team growing in confidence with the ball.
Their best option would be to try and attack IMO and do some damage, get the target whittled down quickly and get it ‘within sight’ quickly and put some pressure back on Pakistan. Use root as the anchor as he actually can bat against decent spin in helpful conditions

Brook has to remove that shot from his repertoire. Has gotten him into trouble more than a few times to balls with his height he should be able to deal with

I was completely wrong to suggest that Pakistan should have played an extra pace bowler. Sajid and Noman have picked up all 15 wickets.
