Pakistan vs West Indies (2 tests)

Pakistan again disgracing themselves with pitch preparation. Good fight from WI lower order but their batting is forever fragile. Hodge has good character but he is not a test level batsman.

It appears after that 1st test against England, Pakistan have flicked a switch & have decided to prepare pitches with extreme turn...I get they were pretty flat for a couple of years, but this is too much the other way...Good chance this match could be over inside 2 days

Made a post about this earlier in the thread.

It serves no purpose. Doesn’t help their bowlers develop any meaningful skill, and it really doesn’t help their batsmen either in the long run.

I mean sure, if their top order all adopted ‘battle it out’ approaches and were able to master that technique, it would mean that they became absolute weapons whenever they play on ANY pitch that offers turn or against any spinner anywhere really. But let’s be honest, their top order isn’t going to go that way. So it’s not developing their top order either.

They’re just getting lucky right now that they’re playing a weak opponent and even now they dodged a bullet in the first test where ONE good partnership proved the difference between the two sides
