Saw the young fella running around Henley streets late last week. Was flying. Massive talent. Has ability to take hangers as frequently as Jeremy Howe

Georgiades hooked on Power play

The West Australian 6 Nov 2020 JORDAN MCARDLE

Mitch Georgiades is set to ignore interest from WA and Victorian clubs to sign a mid-term contract extension at Port Adelaide. The West Australian understands the Subiaco and Hale School product is closing in on a multi-year deal at the Power, on top of his original two-year draft contract which runs out at the end of next year.
Talks between Port and Georgiades’ manager, Tom Seccull from Hemisphere Management Group, are progressing well.

It comes after reports that Essendon list manager Adrian Dodoro asked for one of Georgiades, Ollie Wines, Xavier Duursma, Todd Marshall or Zak Butters in return for forward Orazio Fantasia. The Bombers were one of several rival clubs to show interest in the high-flying forward and ask about his contract status beyond 2021.

Seccull was confident a new deal will be finalised soon, with Georgiades “really happy” at Port Adelaide.
“Mitch is an outstanding young man and is really happy at Port Adelaide,” Seccull told The West Australian.
“We’ve had some positive conversations with the club that are ongoing and are confident something will get done soon.”

Georgiades, pictured, was taken with pick 18 in the 2018 national draft, despite not playing a game that year due to a long-term calf issue.

The 19-year-old booted eight majors in seven matches in his first AFL season after making his debut against Gold Coast in the opening round. His best performance of the year came against Melbourne in round nine, with three goals among 11 score involvements which earned him a Rising Star nomination.

Has someone added an apostrophe to the thread title or have I just missed it over the last 3-4 months? Or has someone removed the word dad?

It's there as a conversation piece and to also imply that Mitch owns his Dad, I'm changing it now though xoxo
This board seems to Toast his dad more than Mitch. ;)

I really don't see what everyone else raves about. He hopefully comes good. But has shown bugga all so far to warrant selection
Maybe I'm getting cranky as I near 50, but I've just about reached the point where I'd like to see the minority of Port supporters who think young KPF's should impact straight away and/or fail to realise they are tracking well shipped out to another club. You people do my head in. They are the Trump fans of the our club, reality has only a passing bearing on the 'facts'.

Whooooh horsie. I dont want to trade him. I just dont think he is ready for selection yet. Time will tell.

I value him. I value him as hopefully a decade long great player for our club. I just value him more in the Maggie's now until he is ready
That's a far more clearer post than your first. Indeed the Maggies not playing stalled his progress a bit, esp after his injury. But your original post said "really don't see what everyone else raves about. He hopefully comes good. But has shown bugga all so far

Cant agree with that. Nine goals in 8 games along with a RS nomination was an excellent return for a new draftee. Every bit deserved his selection, and showed enough to have people rave about his prospects.

But yes, he at times looked like a wild untsmed Colt. But hell he has potential. Certainly deserves a rave imo.
