Pick 3, 20 and Kennedy certainty

just was thinking about the interview and with judd stating it was 6 months ago where it crystaliised, dont you find it coincedental when at that time carlton began theyre losing streak. think pratts known about judds intentions for a while

carlton contacted kennedy last night..

i originalyy thought pick 3 and fev, but carlton thinks that if they can lure in judd then fev with be dominant next year.. fev and juddy are also good mates and fev just recently opened a restaurant in melbourne.. can't see us getting him eventhough we desperately need him...

Picks 3, 20 and Josh looks a good deal.

Rowan Jones is ten times the CHF Kennedy is. Id literally prefer to get Mark Bolton in. I rate Josh as one of the worst youngsters around. Very similar ilk to Kepler Bradley I feel

Carltons pick 1 is off the table ...so that leaves picks 3 and 20 and possibly a player (not Fev) If any other club can better that then so be it ....The only way our club could lose in this trade is if we pay over the top for Judd, which i don't think will happen . we have picks 1 and 3 which will give us a great launching pad for developing an exciting young list .
While i would love Judd to come to Carlton ..it isn't paramount to our list development .

Good luck with the trade and i hope you do ok with whatever draft picks you accept :thumbsu:

Compared to Gumbleton?

Are you out of your mind.

Kennedy will be the real deal, and I would hate to lose him. Watch Kennedys last 3 games than watch Gumbys, there is a gulf between them.

um... you realise that if you're watching Gumbys last three games, you're actually watching 3 of his first 5 games?

Josh, in games 3-5 averaged 4.66 disposals, 2.33 marks, 0 goals and 0.66 behinds.

next time, try *not* comparing a 22 game, second year player, with a 5 game, first player who, even through that, is comparable right now, with said second year player...

But that's a little off topic...

Would the coasters be at all interested in big Scotty Lucas and #6 trade?

He is a gun forward, but perhaps would be a little old at 29?

Most definitely too old. I would think we will not look at anyone older than 25. Only then if they will waltz into our best-22 as well.

Carlon fans, how is waite rated and what is his value in relation to fevola and kennedy?

Waite is rated extremely high at the blues because how well he can play at both ends of the ground, in a better side he would be a match-winning forward and a great stopping CHB.
After seeing his job on Riewoldt early in the year I wanted to clone him, one for each end of the ground.

I would never trade Scotty. Never, not even for Judd. People are dreaming if they think Essendon will trade Pad or Gumby..They re our future spine along with Neagle. It will never happen. Jetta id look at only because we could look at Rioli but we would need to trade for a high pick again probably. Our first two picks and Jetta, something like that i could live with. But i honestly hope Judd will steer clear of Essendon. He will only end up squeezing out other players because of the cap. Im more interested in aquiring Staker and Mundy or Johnson from Freo.

I think it could be mainly press talking saying how many teams are after Judd and what theyd give for him..

All Victorian teams would have a look and theyd be stupid not to, I just think to expect anything near market value for Judd just isnt going to happen, Victorian clubs are growing stronger again through young lists, they aren't going to break that for Judd no matter how good he is.

For example Hawthorn will never even look at a Franklin/Roughhead deal, their side is one of the top young sides in the comp and will probably win a flag in the next 2-3 years with those two boys kicking 10 between them in a GF
Essendon wont give up Gumby and Pick #6 because they have such high ratings on him for their future.

As i've said before, W.C.E are not in the prime position here...
and you will see come end of trade week

1.5 mil per year..on a 5 year contract.. you can't match that;)

and you won't.

Judd has left..he's not under contract..WCE have to agree to a trade with the club he wants to play for...or else they'll get nothing..they wouldn't want to see him in the PSD.

If thats the case, realistically how can you be successful.

Carlton fans are so delerious, if you put Judd on that contract, Fevola's on a big contract, as is Ackland, Stevens, Murphy.

You're basically saying good bye to one of Gibbs or Murphy, or both.

Would West Coast get a better deal if they traded Judd and say a KPP like Staker in a "Value Meal Deal" You get the comp's best on baller
PLUS a very handy KPP.

In return WCE would expect clubs to give back a low draft pick plus a good KPP / Mid

EG: Essendon Pick 6 + Ryder + Gumelton > Judd + Staker

Tigers Pick 2 + Tambling + Couglan

Hawks Pick 12 + (Roughhead or Franklin) + (Williams or Bateman)

Blues Pick 1 + 3

Blues Pick 3 + Fev

Roos Pick 14 + Wells + Swallow

I like the Essendon deal best - pick 6 gets a good young midfielder, Ryder can swing back / forward with Hunter and Gubelton looks like a good project player

Not a hope in hell!!!!

We dont want or need quantity really. Quality is the key. Club might look at getting picks 3 6 and 20 from Carlton and trading picks 13 and 20 for a pick inside the top 10. I think we should make a play for Travis Johnstone. He will come. Melbourne would be willing to trade. Do it

Travis Johnstone? Gee if we get that **** burger Id nearly have to think about throwing the membership in. He is crap.

Should be much more interesting when Judd tells the club where he wants to go.

Judd wants to go to the Dees. That's his ideal scenario - move back home, re-establish his life in Melbourne, play for the Dees and eventually be captain in a couple of years time.

But he is smart enough and loyal enough to WC to know that the "big 3" prestigious clubs may be able to offer WC (and him) a much better deal than Melbourne can. He wants to play for Melbourne but if the other 3 or Hawthorn put to WC an offer they can't refuse he'll go there.
