Pickett's Tackle on Cornes

Whoever gets on these boards and suggests Byrons tackle was dirty is an absolute disgrace. Great tackle and Kane was unlucky to have got injured.
FFS, piss off and follow soccer if you dont want to see this in our game.

Have a goddamn cry.

For the love of god, he made a perfectly legitimate tackle and unfortunately for Cornes he got hurt.

If any other player in the competition laid the same tackle, we wouldn't be discussing it.
Get over Bryon and his apparent 'dirty' tactics. He is a fair player and it was a fair tackle.

If he gets suspended for it, the AFL has reached a new low point.

If anything from today's game was dirty, it was the ****ing umpires' vision impairment.

Tissue? :D

Port supporter = subjective opinion.

Please disregard.

Actually most commentators and people that were at the ground agree. He will go for a week coz the AFL need to set an example with that rule somewhere. He had clearly disposed of the ball, there was no need to ride him into the ground a good 2 seconds later. His gone.

Doesn't matter though Melbourne are dogsh*t and arnt going anywhere this season. Game was close coz quite simply our guys were stuffed from 2 wet games in a row.

AFL cannot set an example with a rule that hasn't yet been put in place. The tackle started just before Cornes got rid of the ball so how could Pickett be expected to suddenly pull out in a fraction of a second when they were already falling to the ground? Think before you talk mate.

The tribunal will look at it thats for sure. Whether he goes or not, im not sure but he will be told what to do and what not.

Either way. Glad he doesn't play for us anymore ;)

He could of tackled him and let go of him once he got rid of the ball? Dont need to be superman.
He tackled him from behind so how the hell could he see if hed hand balled it?
By the time hed seen the ball come out he had no chance of doing anything else as he was already going downward.

The match review panel will look at it but should throw it out. It should never get to the tribunal.

So am I but why exactly? So far he hasn't been suspended in his 2 and a bit years if I remember correctly. He'd easily slot into your team still. His tackle was textbook. Cornes's injury was unfortunate. If it was Jared Rivers running back with the flight for a brave mark and he jumped and accidentally kneed Cornes in the head while still looking at the ball people would call it an accident but since it's Pickett all hell breaks lose.

Two seconds later? Are you serious that you believe it was two seconds later? If that's your evidence then you should be given a week
