Got 100k in the bank so thinking of upgrading one of my 400k mids to a Bartel/Ablett. Problem is that I'm not sure which one to do as I see good value in all of them.

So who would you upgrade out of J. Selwood, S. Tuck or Gibbs.

Pick the three best to get out of these 86k forwards
Mitch Brown, Ballantyne, Taylor Walker, Scott Gumbleton, Mitch Thorp and is it Jarrad grant for the bulldogs who people have been talking about. I have had grant mentioned a few times and dont know who it is lol. Rookie Error
Thanx

I would upgrade Shane Tuck to Ablett, as tuck is a more reliable player which u will get 90 each game for but selwood and gibbs you may get some very big scores from.

I have Brown and Walker on my bench. If I had to pick a third I would say out of those guys probably Ballantyne. He'll probably play more than the others even though he'll miss the start of the season.

Enright v P.Burgoyne?

And it looks like people are going with two gun rucks (or close to) and two rookie rucks. Pretty much what I had for a while - but is anyone else worried about getting 0s if one of the main 2 miss a week or two? Which brings the question of whether it is worth $100,000 to have either K.Tippett/Leuenberger as a backup instead of the rookie in the No.3 spot. I hate using a trade in the rucks in the season unless one of my main 2 go down with a long term injury. Thoughts?

I've gone with Cox and McIntosh plus 2 rookies so i've got concerns about cox'a durability. But i can't come at an extra 100k to avoid a potential zero, hopefully my rookies will get some game time

T.Tuck and $107,500 Vs Cousins and $19,700. I'm not 100% sure how cuz will start the season so i' m leaning towards Tuck with plenty of cash for upgrades. thoughts?

Tuck, for exactly the reasons you listed.

With Yarran looking like not playing for a few rounds, im having to swap my team around a bit. Currently looking at:

Collier vs Hentschel

I think Collier has higher upside, but Hentschel' spot is probably a bit safer. Worried about his injury history though, would make my forward line a bit of a ticking bomb (Houlihan, Skip, Krak)...

Coxy can play through pain, like he showed last year - but it is still a worry. The risk of 0s v $100,000 and weakening the team in other positions. I guess the money would be on picking two rookies and getting two rucks that have proved durable and hope that their durability continues.

Neither but to pick one.... Collier

Travis Tuck vs Paul Hasleby... is doing my head in

Id prefer not to pick either. Ziebell would be my first choice, but the Roos play on Sunday so wont get a chance to see the final squads...
Really makes DT hard doesn't it!

It actually could ruin some teams but thankfully a lot of the players that are maybes to get a game are playing before Sunday!
Well mine are anyway :D

Yeah tell me about it! Makes it real hard. Im thinking about just taking a punt on Ziebell - he should play games, and I just dont trust Hentschel's ability to stay on the park.

I think I agree with you on that one!
What are your thoughts on Hogan?
Any chance to play games?
Or am I better to begin with Ballantyne?
I only have about 100k to spend on my last bench spot in the forwards..

ravis tuck or haselby?? - have both

higgins or skipworth?? - have both

Deledio or Harvey/Gian/Chapman/Richo or other?? - lids and gia

wat do ppl think

Fevola vs Leon davis ?

boak v knights v wells???

boak and knights seem to both be the 4th or 5th midfielder in their respective teams, which could lead to less TOG. boak is/will probably be a better player, but knights is a proven ball magnet when he is on the park.

wells on the other hand, has all the tools to become an elite midfielder, but just hasnt put it together yet. i see him as being high risk, with a potential high reward.

thoughts??

boak will be a massive gun once he gets more midfield time, i think you've answered it for yourself, if you want risk/reward=wells the other two will be more consistent
for me
1. Boak
2. Wells
3. Knights

BEST DEFENDER AROUND OR BELOW 390 000???????

already have fisher goddard, and currently have enright but would prefer someone else

Daniel Cross

or

Nick Dal Santo + $51,600

im thinking Dal Santo as i think the perception of him having a bad year last year was un warranted. Plus $51,600 will help me to upgrade elsewhere.

But on the other Hand Daniel Cross is such a consistent performer but he doesnt really rack up major numbers just his usual 80's.

any thoughts would be appreciated

I would probably be going with Enright or Bock if you're looking to use up that money.

Alternatively, look at Adcock or Drummond as a cheaper option if you could use the $80-90k elsewhere.

Now my turn (pretty similar to your players really):

1) Hodge, Richo, Adcock
2) Bock, Didak, Enright

Leaning towards 1 in the hope that Adcock can regain his 07 form and become a keeper.
