J.Selwood and R.Murphy

OR

Ball and Riewoldt
I would go with Ball and Riewoldt.. Ball has a definite upside, where as I'm not sure any of the others necessarily do..
Mind you, if you need the extra ~30k for another upgrade it might be worth going with selwood/murphy

Swan (c) + Prismall - 240 + 95 = 335
or
Bartel (c) + Selwood - 220 + 105 = 325

Have I just answered my own question?

Only if you think Swan can maintain an avg of 120. Bartel + Selwood for mine

O'Keefe and Pav.

I noticed O'Keefe kicked 4 goals on the weekend, hoping this doesn't indicate a more forward role than last year?

No way you could pick Pav based on his pre-season form, from all reports he hasn't got near it in the past couple of games. :(

With Goodes playing CHF this year ROK is an absolute cert to play on ball. The only problem could be that he gets the tag that Goodes was getting last year. And he is unproven with a hard tag.

I think the value in the premium forwards is in the 350 - 400K area, Higgins, Harvey, Gia, Buddy and Murphy should all go up and be solid keepers.

Yea I have Gia and Hall, so don't really want any more Bulldogs players. With the cash I have left over I'm really looking at getting the forwards who will score the most and not so concerned about their value.

Am probably leaning towards the consistency of the midfield-forward types like ROK though.

Didak and Masten

versus

Pavlich and Ball?

The second one easily for me. Pavlich is a DT gun, and I think Ball will average close to 100. In comparison, you would think Pav and Didak will score roughly the same, but Ball will outscore Masten fairly comfortably.

I have two.

Shuey vs Jetta - Jetta is almost certain to get games, but I think Shuey has better scoring potetial. Thoughts?

H.Shaw vs C.Cornes.

Thanks

Cornes has been awful so far. I wouldn't go anywhere near him.

I don't see the fuss with Shaw either though.

This one is actually driving me nuts.

Goodes v O'Keefe.

I can see upside in both, however both have downsides. Goodes may be inconsistent playing up forward, where as O'Keefe could struggle with the tag....

personally im a fan of okeefe
if swans struggle we may see goodes scores drop a little
if swans have a particularly down game goodes may have a shocker at CHF allowing you to pick him up a little later on
i think okeefe has more potential to do well
we can see the scope of his scoring (with that 185 last year or whatever it was)
tackling machine as well and playing mid. A player of that calibre is always going to do at least half decent as well

I still think O'Keefe will play his normal role with stints in the mid, I see him potentially scoring more then previous years..

Dal Santo v Pendles v Selwood for 2nd mid spot

Really hard one.

Both coming off career years DT wise.
Both dual position.
Both with respective question marks as alrady noted.

I'm leaning towards O'Keefe for no real reason except I think he may have a lower standard deviation. Toss of the coin job for mine.

Sandilands/Hunt or Hille/Harbrow

AT the moment have Sandi and Hunt. Im fairly keen on Harbrow and think he can have a good year but Hille is concerning, Apparently was good in the practice match but if he is parked at FF for most the games then i dont see him scoring many more points than Hunt which has me leaning towards the 1st option. But then i'll have 4 dockers players starting, so not ideal. Thoughts?

Definitely the first one. Not a fan of taking shortcuts in the ruck department.

Warren v Greenwood

Any thoughts on who represents the best value? Both should play 22 games this year barring injury

Different positions no?
Warren should get you 65-70 ppg. My gut says he will get injured again at some stage. Greenwood is more unknown but I dont think he will get more than 75ppg. I think there are better options in both areas mainly due to their team.

Cross vs Prismall

Cross vs Prismall

Yeah different positions but dual positioning allows me $250k to spend in any non-ruck position and they strike me as the most viable options (Already have Dangerfield). If you have any other suggestions happy to here them...

On your decision you'd have to go with Daniel Cross. While Prismall may improve to average more than Cross, Cross also has shown his ability to average 100 and has a greater history of durability backing him. Ultimately I don't think the extra reward of picking Prismall over Cross outweighs the risk of doing so.

Goddard, Silvagni and Hitchcock

OR

Duffield, Hunt, Podsiadly

(other back and forward reserves are Maguire and Rockliff)

Bench Options

Duffield, hunt and pods i would go for but that means you have a 150k player sitting on your bench

my dilemma is

Clark and D.Martin +5.2k

OR

Hille and Dalziell

thoughts?
