I'd go Hayes, Cox and Krakouer.

My question is:

Sylvia and Foley/Cotchin
vs
Franklin and Shuey

Franklin and Shuey; Franklin's a premium and Shuey will score similar to Cotchin. Foley should score well if he stays on the park.

Mine is Watson vs. Murphy vs. Selwood

Selwood is an out and out star. Can't go wrong with all 3 bare in mind Watson's final round bye for GF..

mine is Polec (M6) and Populopo (Emg and start Duigan) vs Atley (M6) and Otten (B5 and bench Duigan)

I would go the first option, polec and duigan in my opinion ( which may not mean much) seem to be better placed in their sides from what I hear to start round 1. Atley seems to be a downgrade target later on, otten while he has potential to be a star he has had a fair while off footy may take a while to get back into it and risk of injury again.

Mine
Franklin Harvey Pavlich Goodes
Or
Reiwoldt Harvey Green Johnson

i think that's an easy one: i'd go Franklin Harvey Pavlich Goodes.
franklin's due for a return to the form of 2009, pavlich and goodes are both great leaders and goodes will be in brownlow form from this season. johnson will annoy with "tricks"/clangers. as for green i haven't really thought about him in the side, i've been looking at rioli and brown

No much discussion on here about Robbie Campbell.

Cheap and Melbourne really battle in the ruck dept.

Is he injured or anything?

AFL publishes an injury list on their site. He was on it last time I bothered to check. If you're really curious you could even search it out yourself. :thumbsu:

He's injured and will be out for at least the first month, I would imagine.

I'm doubtful he'll get up to play at all, but fingers crossed!

Bartel + Yarran + Boyd

or

Kennedy.j + Higgins + Cross

Please don't take this the wrong way but to you 3 I think the general idea of this thread I to answer a question before you ask your own, even if someone has answered the one above but haven't asked a question still give your opinion and you may find your questions will get answered quicker and with abit more insight than what I give.

So for you kenneje go bartel yarran & Boyd, 2 consistent performers and one risk, other option has 2 risks with Kennedy & Higgins

Walters v Veszpremi v Maric??
Vezpremi seems to be the only one out of those two getting mentioned on these boards

A.goodes + c.enright + j.polec
vs
l.hayes + r.shaw+ c.knights

scherbatsky same as kenneje 1st option has 2 consistent players. Option 2 I feel has too greater risks associated

My question is a broad one but I have rejigged my team and for my M4 spot I want to know who is the best option between 550,000 & 490,000
Any thoughts appreciated

Pendlebury, followed by Murphy in my opinion.

I have to agree with Dlanod - Pendlebury is my pick of the players in that price bracket - though I also think Bartel and Hayes are good value if you're looking to come in at the lower end of the 490-550 bracket.

Murphy I think is better for higher scores.
Cannot see Pendles punching out big scores with Swan etc. in the team

Not much action here for a while so will keep the thread moving.

Duffield vs Newman , just after a durable (counts Grimes and Broughton out for me) solid points scorer for a 4th back position around the 450k mark.

Newman for me, just because he's a better kick in my opinion.

Also: Didak or Goodes? I can't decide.

Harry obrien, J. Kennelly or chad cornes in defence?
just enough budget (bout 381k) to pick 1 defender
cant think of anyone else at that price range, any suggestions?

I don't really like any of those options. Cornes is old and has job security issues. D'you mean T Kennelly? He's injured. So i guess i'd choose Harry O of those three. At around that price, i prefer Michael Johnson, Mackie and Gram. It's not a good price range for defenders tho tbh... i'd try to get some money and go for a premium, or go right down to a midpricer (Wood, R Tarrant, Otten) and spend the money elsewhere.

Judd v J. Selwood? Can't decide on this one - Judd in an improving side, Selwood in a slightly declining/changing side. But Selwood is younger, so has that natural improvement.

I would go Selwood, Judd isn't coming into the season 100%, and Selwood is only going to improve.

Goodes because he has had a faultless preseason and is fully fit. Didak may start a tad slower coming back from off season surgery but he is class and it won't take long for him to get going. I will be looking at getting him after the pies first bye.

I've got Newman in at the moment. Very durable and consistent (2006-10: 93, 100, 99, 93). Should be able to maintain these numbers.

My dilemma is Newman or Jack Riewoldt (would shuffle McKernan back / forward depending on which one I choose). Already have Deledio in defence, but he could go onto the mids bench when Richmond have the bye.
