Because a lot of Trump supporters were swayed by his suggestion he was going to hermetically seal the US.
Now some of his tech brollionaire financiers are saying hold on, we need brown people if they’re highly qualified.
And the MAGA rank and file are having severe Cog Diss.
Nobody is asking that question, coded or other.
It has nothing to do with brown people and everything to do with importing cheap labor.
Looks like an easy decision for the left unless they get distracted by racism.

They do the work that American's refuse to do and are cheap labor for the rich.
I think Americans will riot if food is left to rot on the vine or they are forced to pay $15kg for tomatoes.
