Her last book was excellent and it turned out to be so accurate even though I was incredulous at times.
This one will be worth reading.

We’ve been captured by the Oligarchs and with Musk and Zuckerberg’s capture of social media and telling us what the ‘facts ‘ are and telling MAGA what to think as usual it seems quite dismal.
MAGA of course, in their little limited ignorant minds, will lap up the lies and the distractions while being lead off the cliff along with us.
At least they will laugh and celebrate while doing so thinking they owned every one else, whereas they were just the fools, the useful idiots, who succumbed to the lies first.
At least their orange Jesus and Musk etc will be ok in their golden palaces.

Oh and both sides are corrupt but is Trump’s overt willingness to be bought and to do the bedding of the oligarchs that will end the world as we know it.
I always wondered why ancient civilisations collapsed, and Rome, and now I see.

In his inner circle he has the guy who made EVs go mainstream and another guy who has been an environmental lawyer and activist for 40+ years. Both ex Democrats. He embraces the statistically cleanest and safest energy source (nuclear). If you truly care about climate change m8 then I strongly recommend donating to team Trump.
Drill baby drill

Bet it’ll be a load of BS to create outrage and fear mongering knowing his track record

I see he's shortened his timeframes with this Presidency - has gone from "2weeks" to "Day 1" for everything he's promising.
However we all know the result won't be any different- he'll achieve 2/5 of 5/8 of **** all.....

That says solar is the safest and cleanest.

Thanks for debunking your own post.
Well ChatGPT really pulled a fast one on me there when I asked it for sources to back up my point. So solar edges out nuclear by a bee's pecker, depending on how the stats are measured (e.g., per output capacity versus per GWh produced, along with other factors). The point being here, m8, is that nuclear is still an incredibly clean and safe energy source. My understanding is that the countries with the cleanest energy grids are based more on hydro and nuclear, though I acknowledge that solar and wind certainly have their place too.

It's one of those "both things can be true" scenarios m8... it breaks my heart a lil that after some right-wing governments were finally dragged (kicking and screaming) away from coal and oil to embrace a clean energy source, many on the left respond with "no, not like that"... not everything has to be a partisan shitfight!

With thinking like this it's little wonder that donny got elected

The bolded really sums up SRP!

"The rapid spread of this story is likely related to the desire, unfortunately prominent among many liberals, to see and label other people as ignorant.

Studies suggest we are more likely to accept new information when it confirms what we already want to believe. In this case, the chocolate milk statistic fits well with the notion that Americans are fools, so it’s accepted and republished widely despite the numerous red flags that should give scientifically minded people pause."

"So this survey did point out a lack of science understanding. Ironically, rather than showing Americans’ ignorance of chocolate milk’s origins, the fact that media coverage of this survey was reported so widely and with so few caveats instead showed that many people are not skeptical of the science they read."
