We are cooked. The lack of forward efficiency is so familiar. It comes down to poor skills, poor recruitment and very poor coaching and game style. This is across both teams.

I take back my enthusiasm about Marshall and Johnson for 2018. Neither will be ready. It's one thing to be outsized, and inexperienced, but fundamental basics of effort and intensity are still required. Johnson especially has not attacked the ball hard enough. He spends too much time with Impey, and it shows with his footy.

Lobbe, Atley, Snelling, Drew, Eddy, Howard, White have all been mediocre.

I've liked Lienert and Toumpas most.

No. Neither from a team perspective, or if interested in the form of AFL-listed players. None of the young guys has shown anything to suggest that are up to it at this stage of their careers. They all need big preseasons based on this output.

Going on past experience we will work our way back into the game, dominate most stats and have the majority of inside 50's but fall agonisingly short due to poor forward entries and poor kicking for goal. Port Adelaide football.
