I’d be surprised if you would find an afl fan in the 25 million population of Australia, that is not a freo fan, and thinks JL is a better coach than Sam Mitchell.

Aerial contest - anyone over 170cm in a one on one. The taller they get the more soft it gets.
Coaching and selection panel - Rarely make the hard calls. Usually go the soft**** approach.
4th quarters - soft as they come. We’ve blown whatever load we have.
Shots on goal - passing it off when you have the shot. Then having wide open shots and blowing them.

I’m off him big time, couldn’t care less if he was ok or above average yesterday. He kicked 11 goals for the entire season and has a career high of 16 in a season and 2 in a game. His best ever game for us is 2 goals…
People are happy to ignore how piss weak Amiss last 3 games were. Like you said, physically beaten by Zerk Thatcher of all people, all freaking day!

He averaged 8 disposals a game this season. When he's not kicking straight, his minimal touches are worthless. The days of minimal touches as a forward are long gone, JL simply has to get him more involved.

2 goal assists and 12 score involvements, meaning more than half his touches resulted in a score involvement.
He was good. He is actually a good player, but people don't see anything other than goals. He sets up plenty and provides good pressure. Switta is not a concern, sure we'd love more goals, but commonsense shows he's an effective player.
He’s a good player a few times a year and yeah I kinda want my small forward to be able to kick more than 16 goals in a season or 2 in a game.

He's the highest figure of our non tall forwards, and he plays a lot higher than Banfield and Frederick.
He's actually 5th on the list by score involvement averages per game behind Brayshaw, Young, Serong and Treacy.
There are other positions we can upgrade first, but he does have his limitations, I'm not arguing that he is just waiting to break out for a brownlow.
More goals would be great, but he sets up plenty, so he's not as bad as you think he is. Shall we discuss Amiss' game? Or Jacksons? You know, the tall forwards that gave us nothing......again.
I think if we can get to a point where he is our worst forward it’s fine to carry his type, but with 3-4 other complete non entities his deficiencies become more apparent

They were very poor. Thing is they have shown the ability to turn a game and are both under 23. Switta will be 28 next year and has never played a game that you go “wow”. If he was on the Eagles we would be laughing that their best small forward has never kicked 20 in a season or 3 in a game.
This is the wrong thread for this though cos Switta was actually good yesterday and this thread is about that game.
And people wonder why we want to recruit Liam Baker..

I don't think there's any point discussing Amiss. It's very hard to lead a forwardline as a 21 year old KPF.
