My crows mates keep telling me they prefer burton and campo to go before pyke so it will be interesting to see if they hang around. Pyke is a good coach but the camp seeled his fate along with others. The crows are in for a rebuild no matter who coaches them next year they will at best probably win about half thier games.
It wasn't so much the camp that sealed Pyke, it was the rubbish he carried on with after the camp.
Pyke was the least of their problems.
He really wasn't. He was one of their main problems, but there are certainly major problems still there and nearly all of them are in the football department.
I'm not sure Pyke was the problem at the crows. But they obviously wanted it to appear that he was.
I'd go in this order: Burton, Riccutio, Hass/Saunders, (Pyke), Fagan, Camporeale, Younie.

They will need a coach who will handle a rebuild and grow with young players as they aint winning a flag in the next couple of years. Lyon would be no good then but i think burns sumich and noble would the only thing against noble it will be seen as a boys club appointment so they may prefer an true outsider like burns
Caracella

Because they have the gumption to say that this level of mediocrity is not acceptable. We all know their problems run far deeper that him. However if he can't win them a flag and they believe that then he has to go. Same with Ken, if he can't win us a flag he must go, but we're over here all everything is fine, stability equals success, lacking any courage

I have mixed feelings about changing Coaches. We need a change for sure but the Crows have had ten coaches in their 28 year history with the longest tenure being Neil Craig who had seven years. They have had six Coaches since they gave Craig the chop in 2011. That includes Bickley and Camporeale who were interim. You need the gumption to change but you also need a degree of stability. Who would take on a club knowing if they fail to make the eight two years in a row they are going to get the axe?

On top of that Pyke is saying he decided to leave so you have to wonder why a Coach that gets a team to a Grand Final decides to jump ship two years later? Is the atmosphere that toxic at West Lakes that everyone wants to jump ship. Gunston, Dangerfield, Lever, Cameron, McGovern the list goes on.

Lol no payout. Who believes that sort of delusional stuff?

He had a contract probably worth somewhere around $1.6 million over 2 years. He's just going to say, No you keep that, it's only fair.

The only way Adelaide dodge the payout is if he goes to another job that pays the same. Otherwise they are still paying the difference.
They have a special clause in his contract that they wouldn’t Have to pay him out the full amount.

In reality Ken knew the pressure he was under, he's put himself before the club and supporters.

What a monumental cockup by all involved.

The one thing this prick will never do is admit he's not up to it.

Ken Stubborn Hinkley we'll probably have to call the police to escort him from the premises when the time finally comes.
