Umpiring is extremely one sided.

It is weird when the AFL has spent ten years and heaven knows how much money trying to get people to accept GCS. It's not like pushing the Crows towards finals is going to make them any more money.

When they introduce AFL doctors to all games they can bring in professional full-time umpires.

She was brought up through the sanfl old boys club that would have spent those years nattering away about crows lovely boys and port criminals.

Hear something enough times and it’s bound to your molecules. She couldn’t change her spots if her job depended on it.

And those same connections that help them, plus their complete love of the status quo and unwillingness to challenge the vic majority makes them no threat to the power base that also enjoys the status quo.

I’ve spoken before about my disgust at west coast and Adelaide’s failure to take front position in leading for change to make it a more equitable competition. They’ve got the ability to call the non vic clubs to join them, and they would, and to actually achieve change.

Instead they’re too busy slinging mud at their neighbours and being proud to boast about being the big fish in a shallow pool.

Adelaide are like the house n word on a plantation. They’re one of the “good ones” as long as they’re complicit.

Good luck to 'em. They are better coached than we are, fitter and better able to cover the areas in their squad where they are weak. They also have a few promising youngsters who'll do well provided they don't go to the mandatory training sessions on how to be a flog.

They aren't as good as us, but you wouldn't know it by watching them.
