How long does Clarkson
Plus J Brown recruited as father/son after senior played 50 games for Fitzroy?
I heard an interview with Brown about how much Fitzroy meant to him and the family and how thankful he was to get to Brisbane. The closest thing to ‘Roy’s of old.

Still think the 50 game thing was rubbish.

Not sure the coaches care about that overly, their careers on the line. AFL need to protect the game.

I still think interchange needs to be wound back, tire players out, less impact collision etc etc.

I really think they should trial having less players on the field and see what the effect is. I’m absolutely certain it would free things up and create more exciting footy. 15-a-side and reduce list sizes by 3-4 players as well to lift the overall standard of skills.

Try looking in Stinkley’s game plan

Who on earth would take him? I don't care if he's West Coast Judd and we get him for free, no thanks.

Geelong will 100% take him if he can keep his head down between now and the draft.

Fully understand that’s what the AFL want. Just not convinced how it is meant to work in practice.

Does Greene ‘sticking out’ his hands reduce the impact 100% of the time? Doubt it.

Players stick their hands out and use their arms to prevent heavy impact at every other contest in every game.

We can't eliminate head knocks, but we can eliminate the most common action that leads to them, which is someone charging too hard into a contest and losing control.

Players are doing match simulation and marking drills at training every week, far more than they are actually playing. Why isn't there a player getting concussed at training every other week? It's because players actually can avoid hitting someone when they want to.

Imagine taking not just Chayce Jones but also Ned McHenry.

What is behavioural change program lol

Hey AFL I did your 6 day course let me back in now
AFL - Stop beating women and then bragging in writing to other women about how you beat women
Taryn - Maybe
AFL - Close enough

At what point do the AFL just say “Hey North, we’ve given you enough concessions, staff, leg ups and you never come close to even being competitive. It’s time to shut the doors”

We all know Port would have been booted with a similar record.

Massive missed opportunity to send the squad to Tassie.

Such a tragic event. Hope he comes through ok. :(

Apart from the obvious question (why do it?), and the probably obvious answer to that, I would suggest asking where was the club's duty of care for its' players, due to not knowing the whereabouts of said player until the next day when boarding the bus? :madv1:

And why didn't his player mates sound the alarm much earlier? :embarrassedv1:

Shades of J Mac's horrible demise all those years ago. :sadv1:

And, you would have thought, so easily preventable (or at worst, so easily identified he was missing and found him much earlier, with an increased chance of a better survival rate).

Episode 6594 of how to slip
in that Crows are brave
Nah credit to Rachelle for that one. He seems a pretty selfish player and definitely a bit soft but owning it like that takes courage. Those are the sort of players that will change and improve.

We had a good haul in that draft (obviously) but getting to look at it like this and realising we got two of the three best players with picks 5 and 12 is insane. I tend to think Duursma would be around the edge of this list which was also a solid pick at 18 and even if we don’t have him, we turned him into something tangible and useful. Would be criminal to not win a flag with these blokes now.
