Some interesting opinions on Maurie Francou, my memory of him as a player in the late 1960's very early 1970's is he was a slow plodding enforcer type who played a fair bit of magoo's footy.

His younger brother Ken, who I believe had his career cut short by injury after playing in at least one (if not both) of their premiership teams in 1971-72 was a very good player, who may have played state footy when that level was seen by many as the pinnacle of the game.
