Haven’t Petrucca and the MFC made up?

Edit:

Yes they have. Announced last night I believe. Storm in a tea cup.

From AFL website:

MELBOURNE midfielder Christian Petracca says he remains committed to the Demons despite weeks of speculation over his future at the club.

Petracca, who is contracted with the Demons until the end of the 2029 season, said he wants to stay in the red and blue despite recent reports he was disgruntled and wanted to leave.

Old mate is getting a lashing on the twitter machine atm..

Next he will shamelessly announce that this now opens the door for Carlton to begin negotiations with wantaway Port defender Dan Houston.

He's so one eyed where Caaarlton is involved: he should be theorising that this news will rekindle Dan's wish to go to the Dees, now that Brand Petracca is staying put. If he doesn't, plenty of other flogs will.

Why do they bother playing minor SANFL finals at AO? you'd be losing money opening AO with a tiny crowd as opposed to the clubs making money at the suburban grounds.

Highest ranking teams get home finals & AO is for the GF only.. not that hard.
Apparently they gave the players the option and they all wanted AO…

Strange the SANFL always play these games at AO when there would be more atmosphere at a local ground.
In the WAFL all games apart from the GF have been played at local grounds for years.
In saying this nothing surprises me about the SANFL.

The WAFL got that partly right - East Freo and Claremont's elimination final was played at Claremont Oval, but East Freo was the higher ranked team. The Sharks are still homeless thanks to their home ground rennos having continued delays. Claremont won the game and the reigning premiers are eliminated. They would have been playing in the quali final but for a 4 point deduction for busting the salary cap last year, so a double whammy if you like.

Why should they worry about finances.

Just get the AFL teams to pay for it.
