SUNS have had a frustrating season for sure, but the one thing for a non-Victorian team that's most important in my eyes is to build a strong home ground advantage.

Over the years West Coast, Brisbane, Adelaide and Geelong, and often Freo too, have developed this and it ensures that if they can put away most teams at home they have 7 or 8 wins right there as a starting point. Its why especially West Coast and Geelong compete in finals so often.

This is the first year that Metricon has felt like a fortress. They've won 7 out of 8 games there, and the only team that's beaten them in QLD is another QLD side. Its something to build on going forwards. I reckon Dimma has them focused on the things that matter most.

At the start of the year, I was reasonably confident they would struggle this year because their vaunted midfield had their best mid in Clarry with off-field problems, Trac moving to the forward line and their 3rd best mid in Brayshaw goneski with concussion issues. That's a lot to cover.
