None of us are loyal or we'd all be members , the majority of this board hasn't renewed for years. We're not idiots.
Not everyone has to be a member, bottom line is a lot of people especially on a tight budget can’t afford it and that’s fair enough.
A lot can’t also afford to go to games.
That has nothing to do with the person in question.
That is totally different matter.

Essendon matchwinner Jake Stringer is seriously considering joining the premiership push at Greater Western Sydney on a beefed-up two-year deal.
Stringer has spoken with the Giants about a move north to play alongside Coleman Medalist Jesse Hogan after suffering a significant loss of “trust” at Tullamarine, according to Essendon legend Matthew Lloyd.
The Bombers are open to a deal on Stringer, 30, if the two clubs can agree on terms as part of a shift into a new era at Essendon.
It represents a relatively low-risk move for GWS, which could offer Stringer a two-year deal on about $450,000 plus bonuses and incentives after a heartbreaking straight-sets finals exit this year.

Something tells me nothing with Stringer is low risk.

Isn’t this the second club that he will depart on culture/trust grounds?

Aww, boofles - this year's Loins played three away finals in a row and won the lot, with a smashing of the minor premier in the GF; your lot had a week off before playing an away PF...

In the alternate universe where Port play the prelim at the G and Lions at home, with the GF result the same - Aker, Matthews, et al would be crying "if we got to have a practice run at the MCG the week before the GF like Port did, we would have made it 4 in a row"

Seriously, you were beaten by 7 goals - it's not like you were just pipped at the post by a more refreshed team.

It's Aka, he says a lot of stuff. He said a few weeks ago that he should've kicked 7 goals in the 2003 GF and gave a detailed rundown as to why.

Alastair Lynch was actually talking about that era before the grand final and said he felt fortunate to have won 3 and that people forget how good a team Port were in those years.

IF ONLY THERE WAS A FINAL, SAY A GRAND FINAL, WHERE YOU CAN TEST YOUR METTLE AGAINST THE OPPOSITION AND DETERMINE WHO THE BEST TEAM WAS

GRAND DREAMS I KNOW

i watched that recently, we were way better after half time - which is, incidentally, when they used to "reset" so it felt like they didn't even play a half yet, so why didn't that work like it had for 3 years jason??

That whinge was Lethal's "finals are scary" moment. I can't remember whether it only came to light after the event, but the sentiment would've been circulating within their camp as soon as they knew they'd have to travel for the PF and that we got the Friday game. Bit of a change from "if it bleeds we can kill it".
