I'm nervous and curious at the same time. I hope we haven't gone through that turmoil in the pre-season for supporters to get nothing in return.

The clubs messaging has been mixed. They've almost put expectation on us to be good, but at the same time always talking about the turnover and debutants.

It's impossible to pick us in any way. Soon we will find out where we are at.

I just hope we aren't frustrating and don't turn over the ball in insane ways like the past few years.

That uncontrolled run of goals by north at Alberton has me concerned, but let's ****ing do this shit and surprise the competition.

None of the 10 AFL 'tipsters' backed us, I have a feeling Melbourne will not perform under expectations and pressure. They are more hunted than hunter this year.

We play our best footy when there is little expectation historically.

Melbourne to be drinking their own koolaid and get beaten by 24.

At this time I don't care whether a good season is the result of a phobia as in fear of losing; a philia as in love of winning; or existential decision as in we are Port Adelaide and we exist to win.

Just win. We'll sort out why later ;)

15 minute trip on the train then a four minute walk to the g. Sacrifices! Actually this rain is making me think about putting a c on gawn in my supercoach team! I have bo idea what to expect. First round. Wet weather. Melbourne have a good contested midfield. Carn.

I want the kids to play like they have nothing to lose. They need to be brave and take the game on. No playing safe. Make the selectors really agonise over choices when the senior players are back on deck.

Just do it Port.

Do not be timid in front of their home crowd. Show a bit of swagger and get into their grilles. Be like Port Adelaide

I'm playing a cricket semi final today so will not see this one live farken.

Just get the job done boys. Smoke these fools.

Nathan Bassett missing the game to open the bowling.

Lots of questions to be answered today-

Was Rocky’s JLT just Watt’s JLT of last year or is he back?
Will the Young Ones (Rozee smiles like Rick, Butters has Vivian’s attitude, Duursma seems chilled like Neil, leaving Drew to be a ranger Mike) perform this year or is 2019 just a development year for them and us?
Have we discovered a forward system?
Do we have the grunt to go with a midfield like Melbourne’s?
Is Marshall going to step up this year?
Will Ryder/Lycett work?

Will revisit these questions tonight.

Rockliffs 30+ odds just came in a bit more too, lol. My $50 cash out is now 76.56. I'm very tempted.
I put 5 dollars on lol.

Got 15/1 for Rockliff to get 30 and Port to win.
I figured if A happens B will happen.
