Coaches' votes from this week:

9 Adams
7 Treloar
5 Fasolo
4 Kennedy
2 Schade
2 Pendles
1 Maynard

Which means the breakdown must have been:

Coach 1
5 Adams
4 Treloar
3 Kennedy
2 Schade/Pendles
1 Maynard

Coach 2
5 Fasolo
4 Adams
3 Treloar
2 Schade/Pendles
1 Kennedy

The rare 5 votes from one coach, 0 from the other for Fasolo! I reckon Bucks was Coach 1 as he did praise Maynard highly in his press conference.

Which makes sense because Longmire thought the game was basically lost in the first quarter, where Fas kicked 3 goals.

Buckley probably noticed that Fas didn't do too much after the first quarter.

I'm watching the game right now, and my goodness we drop a few marks.
Varcoe drops one with about 10 minutes to go outside our attacking 50. Ball turns over and they kick a goal to go 3 points behind us. It wasn't a hard mark what's so ever. It's just the little things, and it's a very st.kilda like play. Wait for us to make a mistake and run us off our feet.

I noticed that too - was very frustrating to watch! I did notice after the game when a player was being interviewed that he said it was quite dewy out there, i'm hoping that was the main reason for our sloppy skills...time will tell

Makes sense. I noticed watching it again how often players started slipping over towards the end of the match, so I think the dew excuse might be valid.

Not disputing what yuo say here but that wasn't the context of the original post. I have never been concerned about Buckley's football brain but IMO his personality has been a significant impediment to his coaching and we shuold have made the hard call long ago - which is what The Dogs and Adelaide did with instant results.
I merely contend that personality traits are far more significant than mere 'personality'.
Let's call it a 'no game' and move on Mark, we both have the club's best interest at heart with differing viewpoints on how that can be achieved and I'm sure you would be happy to acclaim success for us in any way that works - as would I - cheers m8.

Would have lost if Blair played tonight... There I said what everyone is thinking
that's taking Blair bashing to ridiculous extreme. Blair is a pretty good player, whether right now is best 22 is another matter.
With Moore, I think a lack of work rate not support is the issue and only Darcy can solve that.
maybe the coach read your post because he specifically mentioned Moore's good work rate.

dont understand how when coaches vote, just sort of get the votes a few days later, any idea when it happens

According to Collingwood media, Elliott played 65% gametime in the twos.

Would have thought he'd have played more than that if he was going to be a candidate for coming in next week, especially with the long break?

(Unless Collingwood media were foxing)

I could be wrong, but I think that those sort of statistics in the 2s are our standard practice when bringing back senior players. I expect something similar from Wells this weekend.
