Great to see Dalh in the middle for the contested ball work at training, shows he could be rotating through the middle this season which we all hope for.

plus with Gia in the midfield, he can read the play better are set up other players or do a massive kick into 50m, he went into the mid against WCE (8point lost) and helped bring us back.

Sorry but I have to disagree, Gia's not hard enough nor quick enough to play a sustained role in the mid field. His best and only spot is that small forward option where he can use his footy smarts and finishing skills.

Time to move gia to the midfield for more game time i reckon. Clearly has the endurance to do it. Seems to be good when moved into the center. Could be wasted in the forward pocket.

No offence but 3 clicks is hardly an endurance test. Especially when you consider a midfielder will clock over 15 K's a game. 3 K's would have taken them about 10 mins.

Might have just been selective editing but it seemed like Libba and Wallis won most of the contests.

*also Grant looks slightly bigger

I'm enjoying the insights into the dogs training with DogsTV on the club website. Great development. Hope they keep it up. Nice to have a summary on the top performers at the end of the session.

Interesting, many bulldog posters are slamming the official bulldogs site as being crap. Which I will be bringing up at the December 5 meet n greet social club event at Etihad Stadium

That's because it's run by Telstra.

When is the club's YouTube channel going to launch so we can finally get some better quality videos?

yep and plus all the ads videos before the video

Thought I might as well put this in this thread.

Patrick Keane on Twitter has said our only retained rookie is Jason Johannissen. Looks like Barlow and Prato are gone.

Can someone, possibly official Bulldogs, please confirm if this is the case?

With the final list lodgement today was looking at the player list on Dogs website, and Panos and Dahl are on the senior list, Hill and Stack off the list but Barlow and Prato are still on the Rookie list.

Re: New-look Dogs get to work

Strange considering we went up here for years doing drills WITHOUT any markers whatsoever......which reminds me to actually set the alarm this Monday to get up for training myself. NO not heading to The Kennel, but local training starts.

Re: New-look Dogs get to work

Anybody know if the dogs are holding any open sessions this pre-season?
Saturday Dec 10th (9-10.30am)
That's the first open to the public training session.

Bit lazy there. We've been back for the past month.

Ex Vic cricketer Matthew Inness has been added to the strength and conditioning staff, has been undertaking a similar role with the Western Australian cricket side for the last three years (didn't think it was worth a new thread so chucked it here)

Also got my card around six weeks ago as a Dog for life member

I cringed when I read this. Cricket and Strength/Conditioning don't belong in the same sentence.

Hopefully he knows his shit tho

That's not really a concern. I've got a background in the building and hospitality industries, yet I'd know more about strength and conditioning than the average Joe would, even though I haven't done anything involved with that at a professional level.

Inness obviously has an interest in it and would have studied it part time. He wouldn't have fifteen years of experience at a professional level, but that doesn't mean he won't be good for the role.
