As I reported a week or so back, Henry was doing box jumps in the gym which you don't do if the knee is totally buggered.
He has lots of rehab in front but may be premature to say it is career threatening.

I usually walk ove to the rehab group, will check him out closely on Monday and report back to you eager campaigners.

Sorry can't make it tomorrow, open day Wednesday so there will be plenty there, hope to get there next Friday.

I’ve died on the hospital trolley twice thanks to it, it permanently ruined my lungs as a child, and even now it causes me issues.

It’s a dick of a condition.
Sorry to hear that, it is indeed an awful thing if you’ve got it bad.

Do you eat a lot of dairy? I not only had asthma back then but also chronic catarrh (which I’d had for about 4 years) and that also cleared up completely with the changes I made, in particular taking the immune stimulating herb echinacea.

I only took it to get Mum off my back suggesting I try it (to see if it would help with the CFS, not the catarrh) not expecting it to do anything, and within two weeks of taking it my catarrh was completely gone.

Blew my mind, and opened it up to the possibilities of what holistic treatments might be able to do to help.

If I went back to eating like I did as a kid though I have no doubt that the phlegm would return with a vengeance, and probably the asthma with it, especially if I went back to eating/drinking all the dairy I was then.

Something else I would recommend immensely to anyone with lung problems is an amino acid called NAC.

It’s actually been listed as a pharmaceutical since the 60’s- as it’s used in hospitals to treat certain pharmaceutical overdoses- and it’s also widely used to treat things like pneumonia, as it’s so good for treating the lungs.

I’ve read rumours that it was used intravenously in hospitals in the US to treat those with bad cases of Covid, again because that affected peoples lungs so badly, and there were at least 17 clinical trials being done on it during Covid as a potential Covid treatment option.

I had a bad cold or flu or whatever earlier this year and took NAC for the first time for that purpose and it was like a drying wind went through my body.

My nose has been running like a tap for hours on end and it was like someone just turned it off.

I’ve read so many reviews and comments by people online saying what a lifechanger it’s been for them, especially when there were rumours during Covid that it was going to be taken off the market, and available only as a pharmaceutical by prescription.

Serrapeptase is another substance that loads of people have found extremely helpful for lung issues.

I had asthma for the first 17 years of my life, something that I think pretty much everyone else in my immediate family also had. Sometimes had it so badly that I had to go on the pump.

Then I got CFS, radically changed my diet- to eliminate things like almost all dairy and sugar, etc- and I haven’t had asthma for the 26 years since.

Even though asthma is a supposedly chronic condition that is incurable and that you will have your entire life.
Truly amazing what certain food / drink can do to us if you’re susceptible. That’s bloody fabulous to hear ARR

+ 1 re NAC.

My family and I all have used this when our asthma/chest infection gets really bad.

As a chronic asthmatic which I became after a bad dose of bronchitis as a kid, a friend who suffers from asthma, suggested a macrobiotic diet (you will have to look it up for a description), which I tried in my 30s, and a lot of my asthma cleared up, I also lost a few kgs and felt as healthy as I have ever been. That way of eating was hard to keep up, but there's a lot to learn from it.

That's the debut I'm most looking forward to/hoping for in 2025
+1.

Love his natural athleticism. He reminds me of a young Paddy Ryder playing CHB for Essendon.

Training report 9/12/24 New
  • emphasis today was delivery into a congested forward 50, with Barrat and Arie receiving on multiple occasions to set up play with their footskills
  • Travaglia prominent with his run & carry
  • Keeler competing well up forward
  • McLennan again prominent with his body positioning & one grab intercept marking
  • Macrae such a smart player…will be a very important component in our midfield set up
  • Hastie impressive, lovely mover and love his attitude
  • O’Connell good again, his improvement in the 12 months since arriving here is amazing
  • Ethan Williams from Sandy moves well & seems a good user
  • Liam Henry not doing a lot yet but good to see him out on the ground
  • Patrick Said has really good hands overhead & looks a very compact, small forward option
  • Max Hall good again…one to watch for an early season debut

Awesome to hear mate!!

Sounds like Barrat could be a smoky as Battle replacement :thumbsu:

One little snippet - NAS got the ball in the back pocket hard against the boundary and was corralled by Pou - went further towards the boundary then like lightning went inboard leaving Pou in his wake (much to the amusement of the bench wondering if he had broken an ankle) - NAS then looked in board and hit up a 40 metre pass in congestion - just pure class!

Also a good learning for Pou - bet it doesn’t happen again.

Ps Hugo stood next to me on the way back from the pool - a bit taller than you think and putting on some size

Hugo’s 185cm…reasonably small for the modern day midfielders

Ashcroft, Neale, Butters, Daicos, if you’re good enough you’re big enough my friend.
