Just note that once it comes out from the boot, give it time to recover and for the muscles to heal. Easy thumb rule, x weeks from injury to getting out of the boot and the same x weeks for the muscles to get back enough strength to do what it was doing before.
And if your in a moon boot, yo once that comes off you will need to strengthen your toes for walking.
 
I broke my 5th metertarsel 6 years ago. I had a plate in my foot. It took 4 years for me to stop saying I want the plate out.
Did the same in Scotland in 2018, walked 10 k on it the next day and limped around on it for a week until I got home.
Thought it was a sprain. Got it x rayed 6 weeks after getting home because it was still sore. Broken in 3 places. No brains no feeling.
