From my completely ill informed perspective that’s a better move than axing him as I’d feared. He seems a really good communicator who was just unlucky in the VFL senior role with injury because that was one of the stronger VFL squads we’ve fielded the past 20 years, IMO. All of Hutchison, Crocker, Glover, Long and McDonald have/ had a bit about them.

Yeah, I would have hated to see him axed. Had a rough year on the vfl front, but when we had so many afl injuries, we had no vfl continuity. So while they may have thought it was a good change for the vfl for Ottens to take over, I wouldn't have liked if he got the axe altogether.

On a separate note it’s good to see Mitchell back for day 1! Some would remember me as a doubter late in 2023 and I got turned around on his importance with his Herculean finals series. The obituaries are being written for him already for post 2025 and I’m excited to see what he can bring on the back of a full pre-season.

Do you mean the guy that’s got a long known history of management through training loads due to serious soft tissue injuries early in his career? The same guy that also started late in 2022 and 2023? Who’s played 71 of our past 73 matches and is our most important KPP?

Extremely professional is Titch so missing most of this year would of hurt and his recovery and preparation for next year will be first class no doubt
My man; how could I have forgotten my 1.5 kg blue-fronted Nokia 6110's antenna just popping out of the top of that cargo pant/short pocket?
I was a machine on Snake and texting using a keypad's for texts.
Listening to a tune on your phone at that point was the stuff of sci fi.

Think pendles will, not sure Moore will as the captain should be there setting the tone but I don’t feel confident Moore will do that

Thats funny i was only thinking a few weeks ago how id be stuffed if i had to text on a keypad now. Back in the day i could do it with my eyes shut

I remember being up at the Beach Hotel in Byron in 2000 - a mate had met a girl the night before. He was sending her messages on his phone. I couldn't believe it. She was actually in the same pub as well. 'Why don't you just go talk to her? Sending stupid messages on your phone? This is the dumbest fad I have ever seen."
