Not sure if anybody else mentioned this, but Mitchell trained very strongly and looks to be in brilliant nick. Fingers crossed for a good run for him in 2025. We missed him terribly last year.

My man; how could I have forgotten my 1.5 kg blue-fronted Nokia 6110's antenna just popping out of the top of that cargo pant/short pocket?

I was a machine on Snake and texting using a keypad's for texts.

Listening to a tune on your phone at that point was the stuff of sci fi.

I thought my boss was Maxwell Smart when he pulled out a brick phone and started talking on it. We forget how amazing this stuff is.

Remember when mobile phones were still not that widely spread and tossers would smugly place their's on the bar, parading it like a Ferrari.

Just wondering if anyone here has any advice on juggling a part/full time job while going to training every day? Is it a flexible work arrangement? WFH or pick your own hours? I’d love to be able to attend more but I just cannot afford to live with the days off. Are there certain industries that allow this more? Looking for an industry change and wouldn’t mind factoring this into my decision.

One of my most cherished memories took place at a bar in Hong Kong.

This (western) business-type strolled in, talking big on his clunky phone.

Some of the pretty ones sipping cocktails at the bar, or at nearby tables, took notice as he was speaking rather loudly in a NY accent.

Mid-sentence about 'buying big', his phone rang, leading to my mates & I cracking up laughing, while the Hong Kong beauties all tittering behind their demure raised hands...

(He made a rather hurried, undignified exit).

Inb4 this happens but we're forced to delist Jiath due to list spots but have to keep Ryan because we gave him a two-year extension for some reason.

On a separate note it’s good to see Mitchell back for day 1! Some would remember me as a doubter late in 2023 and I got turned around on his importance with his Herculean finals series. The obituaries are being written for him already for post 2025 and I’m excited to see what he can bring on the back of a full pre-season.

Also really good to see him side by side with Ned Long.

I wouldn’t have given Long another season but since we did attaching himself to Tom Mitchell through preseason would be a really good plan.
