Ned Long - 6:38
Lachie Sullivan - 6:45

Wil Parker - 7:08
Charlie Dean - 7:09
Iilro Smit - 7:26
Harry Demattia - 7:28

Important to remember running in footy boots on the grass is much harder than runners on a track. These are great times except maybe HDM and Johnson/steene

I wouldn't be concerned if you're a 200cm ruck. Even Grundy/Cox/Begg rarely did well in time trials. Wouldn't think its generally something you end to get.
Smit did quite well though.

Is this the first time Mason Cox has returned into pre season training early? I can’t remember seeing him with the 1-4 years

This is how he should be feeling and attacking …on the edge and worried about being left out of the team altogether.

That’s the hunger I wanna see in him to really push himself and importantly have the form line to not only stay in the team but keep the others out coming for his spot.
And not just him.

Wouldn’t say much harder when it’s a firm track. 2% is often quoted as a grass:tartan conversion- although I reckon that’s pretty much b/s. As actual 2k times, they are pretty mediocre. But I wouldn’t be putting them up against others - for a start I never trust the accuracy of the distance measurement. Think these time trials are all about the individuals comparing their own times against previous and future efforts on the same track - as a fitness marker.

Smit is an impressive physical specimen for what .., 19? In old school terms he measures quite a few axe handles across the shoulders.

In previous years they have run the time trials during training / when players aren’t 100% fresh

I can just look in the mirror these days
I know I come across as a fat, bald old cliff young but it's far from reality. I'm 6ft and 85kg , I run/walk 2k a day and go to the boxing gym 3 times a week. I like the cliff young comparison though, it helps BF get through the quiet times.
