Reckon they might show the way! Hard to remember it's only their 4th year!

Actually Chad is in his 5th year. He was the only non 1st-4th year player in that group. Interestingly he is now the only player remaining on our list from the 2019 intake.

I am gonna go out on a limb here and say that Corey Warner possibly won the time trial based on this?

Could you explain your reasoning??? Very curious.

Incidentally, where do you think they are? I think they're at Moore Park West. Moore Park West · Anzac Parade, Moore Park NSW 2021, Australia No idea why.

Chad loves the work.
Corey got a big head rub and is a fast 2km runner.

As I understand it the time trial is required for 1st to 5th year players, despite the memmo released a few weeks back saying the return to training today was for 1st to 4th years. I don't know if that meant Chad Warner got to put his feet up as soon as the time trials were over or not...

As for Corey Warner, like KC^ I gathered from a few of the older boys getting around him in that clip that he must've taken the time trial out. It's hard to gauge from a tiny glimpse of a video, but he's always performed strongly in them anyway so it wouldn't surprise me if he did.

All the new draftees are in da house.

Cleary looks significantly more physically developed than Kirk, despite being older (I believe).

Stretch has his left arm in a cast (but still did training as we can see).

A few of the seniors were training at the club including Hayward, Rowbottom and Parker.

I admit to some shock that Player 20 did not put in an appearance. Given his less than exhausting 2023, I would have thought P20 would have decided he did not need a longer off season and would have turned up to show some gratitude to the Club.

In a long career where P20:
  1. Has never threatened to place in the top 10 in a BnF;
  2. nor has gained entry to the hallowed halls of the LG, which given its current size is at every child wins a prize proportions (Wayward says ‘hold my red lemonade’); but
  3. who the Club has now thrown lifeline contracts to, two years in a row, would turn up early just the once.

How do you know he wasn't at training?

Sarcasm does not become you. He may have been working in the gym for all we know.

Another gripe I have is with coverage of the 3k time trials.

Would much rather hear who the five biggest improvers on their previous times were, rather than the order that the guys who already have elite tanks finished in.
thats not your business.
Just be content that the players are back and training.
They get paid to entertain you for 7 months of the year. Surely you can find something to fill the other 5 months?

Various club videos/comments have reported that Reid has been in full training at the club for a couple of months now (maybe longer) to prove his fitness.

So yes, he was probably continuing with the programme he’s been following (on his own).

Those senior players are not an exhaustive list, only those I can confirm were definitely there today (FWIW).

They never publish that sort of data. I would be bloody interested as well. Would be at the top of my list of things to look forward to during preseason.
You need to get a spy out there. I used to like to go down occasionally but I no longer live in Sydney. It gave me something to do. I am sure there are some Preseason watchers who might be able to supply that information as time goes by

Yet true to form you’re here day 1 of
Pre season with the beginning of the death ride.

I wonder if his place in a 22 man premiership team... one of only two teams in the last 90 years has any value compared to his top 10 b and f finishes

Not that it greatly matters , but the swans are pretty lacking when it comes to pre season insight compared to other clubs. I find it quite strange, being in a non football state you would think the club would make sure they are onto that sort of stuff, try boost the profile of the players and club, make then more recognisable etc

I didn't want to be negative but the previous posts have opened the door somewhat & I've been disappointed by the swans media coverage already. First the whole Taylor swift thing with Taylor Adams then using a Kim kardashian reference to the lads returning. Maybe I'm just getting old...

I was going to post something else but in my angry rant I forgot. I'll be back...

Oh yea. Hopefully Grundy and Taylor Adams coming from a more media open Collingwood systems will rub off on our players and media team leading to more swans content
