I'm pretty confident for this one, but I'm also a little nervous - the biggest obstacle the Eagles have this week, IMO, is mentally not turning up.

Having said that, I'm a person that believes statistical trends for a reason, and to my count there are at least 8 solid ones backing West Coast. Basically, I'm fairly sure that as long as they turn up with the right attitude, they'll get a good win.

I feel that North line up really well against us. We need to start strongly and kick straight early to ensure the crowd stays up and about - same as the QF really.

I reckon this is more of a 50/50 game than we are giving Nth credit for.

The tagging is what worries me the most.

It doesn't worry me - it just means there is one less of their midfielders to worry about

Jacobs doesn't exactly win his own ball - even when he kept Cotchin to 9 disposals, he only won 9 himself.

All the tagger means is at best North draw even in that battle, at best we get a win.

We also don't rely on one midfielder - as we saw quite well against Hawthorn. If Shuey gets shut down, then Gaff, Priddis, Yeo can take over

My main worry is Waite to be honest. I'm hoping Shep can do what Shep does, but it may require Yeo going back if Waite starts well

if West Coast play our normal attacking game we will win by 5-6 goals. Need to kick straight and put the game to bed early so we can enjoy the game and my beers. I cant stand them especially their coach.

Not sure how well Shuey deals with taggers these days. I know he used to be blanketed often. Is this still the case now?
There's been a shift away from sides using hard tags this year and north have been one of the few sides to use them - probably the only team in the finals that has

Jacobs and Gibson have been very effective in their two finals games and I expect they'll line up on shuey and gaff respectively. It's also likely that cunnington will go to priddis like he did Kennedy to try to negate the curly ones influence as Thompson did when we played the crows

Hopefully Rawlings will work with all three to analyse what to expect and make plans to counter it accordingly

It will be a challenge though for sure as it is something they haven't had to deal with often this season. We have the advantage at least of knowing it's coming though do it won't be a surprise

This is true.

It's a Preliminary Final in front of 40000 screaming, feral, boolicious home fans. The only way they won't turn up mentally is if they are sedated before the game.

If they want to waste a couple of players on a hard tag then go for it. It's all about team defence and attacking intent for us.

Yeo to have a big one.

Unfortunately some women age like a fine red wine. Some others age like a 5 dollar bottle of white with a screw cap.
I'd still go there
