Scotch v Xavs - Scotch have improved but not enough.
Carey v Bernards - This should be a ripper put Carey at home.
Collegians v Trinity - Possibly nasty.
Blues v Caulfield - Blind faith or wishing maybe.
De La Salle v SBMT - Only because of the home ground advantage.

Xavs
Carey
Collegians
Blues
De La

The radio this weekend has collegians vs trinity.. How is the best team playing the worst team the match of the round?

Scotch v Xavs - Xavs comfortably
Carey v Bernards - Carey's top 6 too good
Collegians v Trinity - Lions easily
Blues v Caulfield - Uni are a good team, been unlucky first 2 rounds
De La Salle v SBMT - De La also a good team.

Panthers good today, in control most of the day except beginning of 3rd where Bernies banged on 5 in a row. Impressed with Carey's new young kids who certainly holding their own.
Next week is a big one against OX at headquarters on Sunday.

Clearly he was referring to the bunch of under 19 players currently playing and debuting for the Panthers. Makes for exciting times down that way. Be happy for a fellow APS team traveling well.

We're all one big happy family in amateur land Octopus. Old Schools, districts, doesn't matter.

The highly credentialed independent assessor is beside himself with joy now the VAFA season is well underway.

It looks like a very competitive year specially in Premier and Premier B

The wise one is specially delighted at the return of the authentic club people who lift the standard of discussion with their informed comments as he is with the more regular appearances of Scribe and the continued high grade posts of Rooster24, amongst others.

On the downside the highly credentialled independent assessor is mourning the loss of the highly accurate scoring assessor who has seen fit to mothball his trusty flags leaving the VAFA flounderless.

It is also distressing to the wise one that the serial pest persists with his ramblings thereby reducing the standard of debate.Even more distressing is that some posters still take the bait. Special credit should go to the lads from Boss James for their forbearance and for no longer falling in.

Play on.

Carey won't feature in the pointy end of the season.

A total attitude change an scotch has sparked something this year. Expect both senior and reserve sides to feature in the finals this year.

The top 5 teams in A reserve are an utter joy to watch and would be better than most C grade teams without doubt. A reserve deserves a bigger write up in the rags for mine.. watching ox, dls, collegians, uni and scotch play eachother is a delight

Please don't call anyone serial pest. I have had PMs and a reported post from four people who think you were referring to them. Paranoia is alive and well in the VAFA forum.

With this forum it's likely to be four aliases, rather than four separate posters.

The highly credentialled independent assessor is puzzled and mortified at how his comment could have been taken by any of the authentic club posters as being directed toward them. He thought the intended target was abundantly clear.

He therefore wants to apologise to you for having to field the complaints from the complainant and make it known that he has nothing but the warmest of feelings for all authentic club posters.

The highly credentialled independent assessor came to the same conclusion. :thumbsu:

Any chance you 'posters' can talk some footy?

Scribe, as I have said many times, stick to working for Legal Aid and give away the poor detective work.

Carl, did you take in any game on the weekend or were you more concerned with the boundaries of the local golf courses?

Looks like the Scotchies will be more than competitive this year and the legend rambo holds the luck of the hedgeburners on his right foot, what star!!!

I am surprised at Caulfields start to the season. 0-3 after playing the first two rounds at home and the third at a neutral venue.

Given some of the pre-season talk and predictions, I thought that they would have been at worst 2-1 at this stage. I haven't seen them yet this year nor did i see them last year so i can't comment on what the differences are that have seen them start like this.

To begin with they havent recruited as well as spruiked, and their one recruit of note, their big Ben Sinclair lookalike up forward just shapes as a decoy for Sinclair as he cannot take a mark or get a kick. They have been flattered by the scores in the last two games.

bernies against scotch at the snakepit next week, seems to be an 8 point match, scotch are definately up and about, a 6 goal win over xavier under any circumstance is always a good indication. bernies handed their first defeat at dunshea, completly outplayed in the first half, can they turn it around at the pit next weekend? thoughts?
