I doubt that whoever it is will match Gilbee off a half back flank for OS.DA... DA DA... DA DAA... DA... DA DA... DA DAA

Would have thought he might have been a little slow for a half back flank these days. Now if you had recruited his son from Carlton, I'd be sitting up and taking notice, not the case though.yeah but that's Old Scotch so it doesn’t matter.
Welcome to St Bernards...Jimmy Buckley.

I think you may be getting a bit ahead of yourself here. There are a number of leagues around Melbourne with a similar amount of ex AFL types as the Ammos, even then a Port Melbourne (for example) would most likely win comfortably.A great get for Bernard's as they continue to put together the oldest team Premier has seen in a long time.
I would take Houlihan over Gilbee any day, as long as his injuries that ruined his career at the Blues are behind him.
I also hope all of these guys ex AFL guys are picked and play in the rep team, will be amazing to watch as they would destroy and VFL, SANFL or WAFL team let alone Vic Country.

Big recruit! Very impressive. Snowdogs seem they will be right in the mix this year.Jimmy Buckley was close to signing but the job fell through ....
Ryan houlihan has signed with Bernard's.
I really admire anyone who has a crack at a prediction at this time of year. However leaving Xavs out of the top four is a big call.Big recruit! Very impressive. Snowdogs seem they will be right in the mix this year.
Now this isnt worth the keyboard its typed on, but her'e my crack at the Ladder for 2013. Not to be taken seriously, who knows whats going to happen, but:

Mmmmm, Ryan looked in amazing nick tonight. He will be the 4th player out of 50 senior players over 30 years of age. Of the remaining 46 senior players, 40 are below the age of 26. Average age of this group of 50 players is 23.0. Do your homework before making outlandish statements.A great get for Bernard's as they continue to put together the oldest team Premier has seen in a long time.

Is Clanger Mitchell still going around at St. Bernard's? Do they call him that owing to his foot skills or offield feats?
He just pointed out you will have an old list. Big deal. With a few other blokes in their late 20s there is no denying it so not sure why you would be so defensive. Also have some very good young talent so it evens out in the end. They will be your future not Houlihan.
Doubt you would have 50 players of senior quality as your ressies pretty ordinary last year. By the way have not seen you much on these boards since some of your gems leading up to the 19 Premier Grand final last year . Look forward to some similar big predictions on the 'A' grade forum this season.
Interesting to hear that two old scotch boys have landed out at Marby Park in the EDFL as a packaged deal. Thompson and Slade (Ex AFL) on some pretty hefty $$. Interesting they would jump ship with the club supposedly on the rise.
Slade hasnt played at Scotch for years. Been down at a Geelong club playing for $$$$s.
No way would he go back to "School" for the love of it. Thompson is a new departure, also not playing for the same reasons I daresay..............
