Will you guys get 5 out of Tim Allan Rooster?

No AM and we never really intended to. Unless they are a genuine chance of qualifying for finals we don’t play them. Different if they are a regular or at least semi regular but not worth the aggravation by dropping blokes to accommodate VFL players for 1 or 2 games during the year.

Tim really wanted to play 1 game with his old school side and some of his schoolmates and he has achieved that. I’m hearing he is a real chance to get drafted next year or at least get a rookie spot. As much as we would like to we cant claim that one. Although he went to De La nearly all his local footy was played at Ormond.

‘A’ grade seems like a one horse race with Xavs miles ahead of the rest at the moment. Can’t see anyone challenging them right now. With Blacks a bit off the boil and De La and Scotch very inconsistent St Bedes look the ones most likely.

My mob’s up and down season continued yesterday at Camberwell. Reasonable effort for most for the day but Scotch better in the homestretch and deserved the win. We had a pretty good side in so no excuses. Of concern is that our ressies who have been solid for many years are battling.

Looking for Ronny Rockle to give us some insight as to what is happening at the Trott. While looking safer than a few others, the need to win some games to stave off relegation now looms large.

Think you're right about the silverware being Xavs to lose. Seemed to have worked you guys out. Though the expanses of Elsternwick will make it more difficult to close down your run and spread.

Believe Scotchies had five important players return on Saturday and a couple more yet to suit up in the coming weeks. Still reckon they will see some September action.

So whats with the Beauy player copping 2 weeks (down from 3) for having a tinkle on the side of the field at Uni a couple of weeks back. Clearly due to the lack of infrastructure and amenities, this should have been thrown out. Not to mention yet another infection being dealt with following the same game.

Some pretty poor comments on here. Everyone has been up and down. Come september absolutely anything could happen.
Xavs - Clearly the best right now but have been beaten by 3 out of the 4 teams below them.
Blacks - evergy game seems to be an arm wrestle and they have won most of them. Ones they have lost been bad.
SBMT - dark horse, fantastic effort and hope they roll you all! incredible a 1s team can be so competitive with such a terrible 2s side
DLS - Absolute inconsistency. If they can't win the tight ones they have no chance. Final 5 games are against the 5 bottom sides though so def cannot be ruled out.
Scotch - Fantastic list but no heart. Can beat or lose to anyone.
Bernards - Overrated on this forum. Your top 5 may be stars but your bottom 5 are no good. Let's say Bentick and 1 more of the stars were missing in a week i'd put my house on them losing.
Beauy - all been said on this forum
Collegians - are no good this year. would be very stiff to go down though and would be back up after 1 year
Uni blues - top 7 players are incredible, bottom 7 bad
Carey - nothing else needs to be said.

Fantastically tight comp again. 2 games separate 4th and 9th. Finals race in the reserves comp is also fantastic.

Xavs - If they can maintain their list healthy they are the ones to beat. Forward line trio of Handley, Goss and Ambrose tough to beat all of them.
Blacks - Their talls are great but are vulnerable to the quicker teams. Not sold on them yet despite a good season.
SBMT - The main challenger. Play good honest hard football and on their day can beat anyone. Solid in all aspects of the ground. Bigger grounds the question mark?
DLS - Inconsistency is the correct word... Lacking a major forward target (No Moore or Eddy) and too small all over. Will win the last 4 games and most likely sneak into finals. Amazing that a side 4th has lost 5 games already.
Scotch - Can't seem to get it right. Barlow, Lower, Gilbee havent provided as much as they should have. On their day fantastic, next week very poor. Will be an interesting finish and a huge disappointment if they don't make finals.
Bernards - Good out at the snake pit but suspect everywhere else. Tough side but not a whole lot of class unfortunately.
Beauie - They try hard but no polish or class players. I suspect they will drop.
Collegians - In all fairness, we have 12+ players out of last years Grand Final side along with injuries and blokes overseas. Need to win this week in a tough assignment at Beauie. Bad loss on that joke of a ground at Uni.
Uni Blues - Summers, Young etc holding them together. Will string a couple more together like every year, and then be the same about next year.
Carey - Shame to see Howat go down. Won't be seen in A Grade for a few years i suspect.

Great comp this season. How 4th can be 4th with 5 losses is quite amazing. Xavs vs SBMT for the Grand Final for mine. Going to be a great finish.

Uni Oval is even worse condition now than when the Blues v Carey game was shifted to Princes Park No.1 a few weeks ago after two Premier A games on Saturday and two Womens games there yesterday.

Will be a serious contributor in 2-3 weeks.
