Beaumaris
Willy
St Bedes
Fitzroy to prevail at the snakepit
De La

I'll be down to watch De La this weekend, looking forward to see how they perform and enjoy the pre game lunch. I don't know much about OG's, but they have certainly acquitted themselves very well so far this season.

If I put my thinking cap on, I'm not sure De La have ever had the pleasure of playing Old Geelong. Maybe Jimmyjack can recall a time when the two sides have met prior?

DLS and OG played 55-58/59.
Went from E to B/C and played quite a few finals and GF’s.
Certainly not in last 50 plus years.

Hippster is correct. Having entered the comp in what was then 'E' grade in 1955, DLS has not been below B grade since winning the C grade flag in 1958. Not sure of OGs history but I certainly don’t recall playing them in any grade other than clubbies over the last 40 or so years.

A genuine 8-point game at the Bell tomorrow and heading into the ‘departure lounge period’ a win should set us up nicely for a run at a top four finish. That would be a credible result with such a young group. Having said that we are miles off Fitzroy and St Bernards and I expect only a serious form slump or unprecedented run of injuries will prevent the aforementioned clubs from joining the Premier ranks in 2024. Beaumaris the only genuine threat to them at this stage.
