Wasn't at the game but was told PEGs won quite comfortably. U taking the piss??
I'm dead serious mate, I was at the game held at Marymede College. The umps didn't turn up into about 1/4 time. PEGS were dominant in the first half, but Marcellin ran over the top, won by 7 points. PEGS have been struggling numbers wise, and could only field 2 teams (1s + 2s/u19s combined)

I don't what is going on here, but was told PEGs won very easily. I will check with my sources tomorrow, they must have been watching a different game . 5-6 of them that were there must been telling me porky pies. Mail was they won, and won comfortably. Don't know how I can get told 6-7 goals and you are telling me they lost by 7 points. Makes little sense.

Fair enough check your sources, they're unreliable, presume they are PEGS supporters who left at half time. Marcellin Definitely 100% won by 7 points, PEGS ran out of legs last quarter. Marcellin looking good, haven't seen Carlson out there yet but a lot of old faces have returned, presume it's to do with their new coach. Young Delmonte pulled on the boots today for Old Ivanhoe, the older one was nowhere to be seen

Ok my sources must have been off. Were there some goals in junk time? Only praccy game, sure both teams had plenty out, but looks like PEGs won soundly when it mattered? Impressive effort though to beat Ivanhoe by 9 goals though.

PEGS just up at 3QT and lost in the last, Marcellin slow start, but fitness prevailed. Hard to say PEGS won when it mattered, but yeah no 4 quarter effort from either side. Drove along Bulleen Rd the other day, they appeared to have excellent numbers at training. Had 6 on the bench today in the 1s, looked like about 10 in the 2s and 8 in the u19s, so solid numbers.

Ivanhoe definitely underdone, considering both carlsons & both bortolottos, plus a couple of their other 2014 starters weren't playing today, would think there's still a bit of improvement.

Some impressive outs. Think PEGs reserves are fine, 60 on the track but their. U 19s are in trouble. They have best school team in AGSV but can't get the kids to play for the old boys. Many either go to vfl or play for cashed up clubs in the EDFL. I believe Therry had a lot out today, so did PEGS. I will talk to my sources last week as they must have got it totally wrong.

ok kool. Yeah well Marcellin vs Brighton next weekend so that will certainly offer some real feedback. Any news on who PEGS are playing next week?

My source was a Marcellin father who was at the game and was told PEGS won easily. Not too sure either team would be worried about the result.

Is that the same father that said they played some NFL side, south morang? I presume he mistook the side for the location, game was at Marymede in South Morang. Anyway he's wrong Mourner, Marcellin Won all 3 games. Yeah I agree result wasn't the be all and end all for either side, but there's no point having this forum if the info is so incorrect

You're right mate, he didn't know who they played initially.
You are very protective about the result - you sound like the Collingwood supporters after they beat the Hawks in a practice match.
And, I would be careful about talking about other teams perceived numbers as you guys weren't travelling too flash at this time last year.
Swings and roundabouts my friend.

vafa guru I think you got this totally wrong. Have confirmed with 3 different sources at the game, Marcellin lost comfortably. End of the day it means little.

All 3 of your sources are wrong, end of story Big Duck. Believe what you want, but those sources can not be trusted

Haha gotta love Marcellin PEGs rivalry! Yep they were struggling this time last year, but did extremely well to finish top with little depth. Pitty they went out in straight sets (again!)

As far as being careful, it's a fact that PEGs are short this year, it's not banter.

Ivanhoe AFC (Div 1) or Old Ivanhoe (Prem C) ?>

You
OIGFC Russell, Prem C just relegated from Prem B, game was played out at Ivanhoe Grammar Plenty Campus in Mernda
You are a stubborn fella!Give you that!PEGs have twos and threes team, however unders numbers are a concern. PEGs twos won by 100 plus against Therry.

Haha, fair enough. Just confused as to why PEGs would field a combined 2s/U19s team against Marcellin last week if they have 2s and 3s numbers?

PEGS definitely one of the best 2s side in the comp last year, so 100 points against Therry is definitely believable!

Write off Therry at your ow peril gents.
Speaking to some of the PEGS twos players, their senior team was 90% full yday.
PEGS twos dominant but scoreboard irrelevant. You'll see a much different (bolstered) Lions outfit Rd1.

Yeh Therry had a lot out I am told in both games. PEGS had about 6-7 senior players out. Bannisters didn't play, must of had few key backs out as well. To be honest Therry probably took more away from the game.

Any news on OH? Being such a proud club they'd obviously be looking to bounce back straight away, but from previous posts there were suggestions they made be struggling?

Just got news that AJAX will be fielding a 3s team in both Premier B and Premier C, with their Premier C team to be made up of mainly religious men who are unable to compete on Saturdays. What a diverse competition we are apart of! Fantastic news
