Issue for all teams in 2015 is depth. each teams top 20-25 will be solid, but from what Ive seen, the next 20-25 will decide who makes it to B Grade.

I can only speak for Marcellin, last year from my count we only played 35-40 blokes in the 1s, Hampton played 50+. This year looks to be very different for us with up to 6-8 weekly 1s players from last year possibly being pushed down to 2s this year. Having said that, I haven't seen Bolger or the bald full back, think his name was Gaspari. The old bloke who played FF last year hasn't been seen yet either. But a lot of old faces have returned.

Might struggle to see Bolger considering he is os for 2 yrs

Monash are clearly the team to beat, Marcellin traditionally finish top couple. I agree with a few others and think Oakleigh will push for the top 4. Have to respect clubs coming down a division. Especially when there is such a drop to C. PEGS are blooding alot of young kids but still have a lot of guys that have played 150-200 games. Therry look to be the same, heap of kids mixed with some classy older guys. Willy have no idea, but have to respect reigning premiers. Peninsula and OC will be competitive, OC have some good players in Bennett, Hart, Campbell.

The old bloke - McPherson - won't be playing either- Bolger kicked 51 and McPherson kicked 31 - so that will not be easy to replace at all.. Pretty sure that the young gun Milson (easily Marcellins best) is also out for the season with a shoulder.

Yep Millsom is out with shoulder, decent loss, not the best player that you've suggested. I saw old Abrahams on crutches in a splint so that didn't look good either

All the games I've been to this year Marcellin have kicked very accurately and had no issue spreading the goal scoring load. Forward line is a total 180 from last year, very young, very mobile. Looks like the top two in the 2014 U19 B&F are pencilled in as starters. Costanza is back too

Am I right in hearing Old Ivanhoe lost to Therry on the weekend?

OI was up at 3rd quarter time, but were left with 1 on the bench (compared to Therry's 6-8) for the last quarter. Therry won by 10-12 points.

Good game of football.

Never seen so much claret coming from a split eye (nothing malice) since a coward head butt back in the 90's to our former captain. (Again not relating to Therry).

May I say the Asian boy for Therry is a bit of a Jet.

He had a very "buttable" head though!!

Think PEGS should be higher, same with Oakleigh, both only just missed finals last year. Not sure about OH finishing top.

Wait and see on Monash, Mr Duck. Have lost some quality. Will depend on the influx of new kids.

The crystal ball before round 1 is always filled with a lack of clarity and a lot of distorted hope.
Best wishes with your magical predictions. They have little substance like a wisp of smoke.
I look forward to looking back on their veracity towards the end of the season.

Hope you are right. Any news on how Peninsula are tracking? Ins/ outs? Pre season form?

Peninsula played Fitzroy on the weekend and quite impressive from the reports. Lost by about 3 goals apparently - Fitzroy are going to trouble a lot of teams in B Grade as they have recruited very well. Moved the ball well with some pace on the outside.

Cheers.

Old Hail looked ordinary last night against SBM. Could be in for the double drop.
When I left at half time they were up 7 goals to 5! Thought they were very slick with their ball movement although SBM had about half their team not playing.
Not a good sign that soon to be 47 year old Disco Seccull is still OH's number one ruckman.....

Not the same sources that gave you the bad info on Marcellin vs PEGs at it again ;)

Haha just kidding, but you're right, early on we've heard OH had extremely low numbers at training. All will be revealed next Saturday!
Have heard they had poor numbers early on, then told they were very good the other week in a praccy game. Then told they were no good against SBM then we were told they were up at half time.

Getting in early for my round 1 tips.
Willy v Marcellin- Marcellin 20 points. Marcellin traditional strong starters.
Monash v Old Ivanhoe- Monash 24 points. Monash still my team to beat this year.
Old Camberwell v Oakleigh- Oakleigh 30 points. Oakleigh to be a real handful this year.
PEGS v Peninsula- PEGS 1 point. Peninsula traditional strong starters have beaten PEGS 3-4 last times have met. Could go either way.
Therry v OH- OH by 10 points. No idea on this one as keep hearing mixed reports on OH.

You guys have some bad sources, OH did I very good job against SBM leading at half time and Disco isn't our number 1 ruckman

Also look for an ex AFL player to playing for OH this weekend
