Round 10

As 2411 and I are in a tight tussle for the top 2 positions in the Prem C tipping I thought I'd make sure I got them in tonight.

Hampton Rovers to beat the Kewless Double drop Kew
No Burbury no OGs to beat the overrated (by me) old Mentonians
Kindergarten Caulfield just at home over The best team in the comp OH
Finals bound Old Ivanhoe away to beat Old Camberwell
Jascave Flag Favourite Marcellin to keep their Prem C chances alive by beating Willy or wont he maybe.

Have a nice weekend

Have heard that an SOS to Beaser may have gone out during the week. Many Kew powerbrockers keen as mustard to get the club back on track. Watch this space.

Your having a splendid week. What odds does Maplebet have for Kew staying in C

We are offering 1000/1 for anyone keen to part with their hard earned.
Maplebet takes no joy from the performance of Kew this year but it certainly does increase the legend of the great man. Sadly missed but never forgotten. I'm not sure we will ever see another like him in the VAFA. Perhaps Clarkson in the AFL rivals him.
God bless the Bease..

Great post number 2, look what I was replying to !

Well across what you were replying to Bedford.

Long time reader, third time responder- just noticed that there isn't a whole lot of positivity in your posts. Heavily outweighed by the negatives. Maybe for your own health you could turn the heat down to simmer and just relax a little bit.

Caulfield hosted flag favourites OH today at home in a clash that was always going to be interesting. Caulfield had a decimated side with 5 of our top 10 out and OH had to deal with the Caulfield home ground advantage and a vocal crowd who had enjoyed a fine luncheon raising money for a very worthy Cause in Breast Cancer...
The first quarter was tight with OH moving the ball better than Caulfield and when Caulfield lost 3 players to injury (2 or to return for the game and the number 4 standing in a forward pocket for the duration unable to run) things didn't look good. But to Caulfields credit the kids stood up and the big fella up forward stood up and Caulfield took a lead into half time. After the break OH lost one for the day, Caulfield couldn't rotate with another midfielder getting treatment and then OH lost a second.

The last quarter was a slog with both teams down to no bench but Caulfield fell over the line in one of the bravest Victories I have seen.

Well done to both teams.

You will all know I am not an umpire brasher ...but today was a joke ....no advantage to either side just two guys who didn't have a grasp of the rules..head high tackles not paid ...no clue whatsoever on the holding the ball rules yet paying pathetic deliberate OOBs (to Caulfield) and not protecting player welfare. One in particular was worse than the other but honestly it was atrocious..last week I saw an isolated young kid pay running too far (12 steps) but it was an isolated got carried away in the heat of the moment...I get that . These two guys were adults. Whoever is the umpires advocate or coach needs to speak to them and tell them they have to take a chance and blow their whistles !!!!!! rant over !!

Sweet relief at Boss Reserve as Kew got over the line in a tough tussle by 20 points. Not much else to say but Thank ****! Well fought out by two district clubs who aren't having all that much fun this year. Brazzale didn't kick a goal... or play for that matter but I'm sure we are done arguing over semantics by now. Kyle Margaritas goes alright...

A few beers to be had now.

You have no idea about BF then. Good for Kew to break the drought. Canada what odds now.

Try having 17 free kicks to 4 at half time. Ridiculous!!!

We have the strongest ruckmen and umpires ping them every time for being too strong.

Seriously on Gordon Barnard how can 5 umpires report a player for a "late contest". Not making any comment re the report, but how can two boundary umpires and a goal umpire see an incident over 100 metres away.

Happy with the win.

Max

How can you expect good umpires when they're terrible at the highest level and paid handsomely for it?
Its C grade ammos and a bunch of either young kids, or older guys staying in the game and earning a couple of bucks.

I'd say we are at better odds than Matthew Martinov pulling out the DVD and watching the 2015 grand final.
Had a shocker didn't he, full credit to your bloke, killed him. Been a great player though over the years and there are good players from AFL down who have had bad Grand Finals. Good luck to Kew for the rest of the season.

Love the civility Bedders. I wonder if we'll meet again next year and re-kindle the rivalry

How did No.25 play for Kew?

Im read online last night that one of the umpires from the Caulfield v OH game got the senior rep game appointment for next weekend... maybe your analysis of his suboptimal performance in this game was false ? OR has he got the rep game due to the good bloke factor?
